The Amplifier Charm can be received upon completion of a Library Assignment. It can also be obtained from a Glitchpaw mouse in the Crystal Library, from a Zugzwang's Claw Crate and Treasure Chest or can be purchased for 2 King's Credits in the King's Arms Charm Shoppe.
Location-Specific Effects
When this charm is used in Seasonal Garden, the amplifier gained by catching mice there will be doubled. For example, catching a Fall Familiar with Amplifier Charms armed will increase the amplifier by 12% instead of 6%. However, they do not affect the -3% amplifier penalty if the bait fails to attract. This effect can be combined with the Limited Edition Chesla's Revenge trap for occasional triple amplifier gain.
History and Trivia
- The Amplifier Charm was introduced on 9 August 2011 when the Crystal Library location was introduced into the game.
- On 19 October 2011, the Amplifier Charm was made available at the Haunted Terrortories Charm Shoppe during the Halloween at the Haunted Terrortories Event.
- The Amplifier Charm was available for purchase at the Festive Comet Charm Shoppe from 7 December 2011 until 12 January 2012, during the Great Winter Hunt 2011. They could also be occasionally found in the Rodentia Winter Gift.
