| The magnetic power of this base exerts a constant pull on iron tools and equipment, which translates into an increased chance of attracting Tunnel Rats. Interestingly, this effect is just subtle enough that the mice never consciously notice it. Besides, even if they did know why they encountered these bases so often, they would never be able to understand how they work. | |||

Location-Specific Effects
The Magnet Base increases the attraction rate of Tunnel Rat mice when equipped in the Treacherous Tunnels, Bombing Run and The Mad Depths zones of the Iceberg.

- 24 May 2012: The Magnet Base was introduced with the release of the Iceberg location.
- 22 March 2022: The Magnet Base became available in some Trapsmith with the Shops Infrastructure Overhaul update.
- 22 March 2022: The Magnet Base received a cost update:
- Frosty Metal cost: 5 -> 3
- Heating Oil cost: 2 -> 1
- Wire Spool cost: 5 -> 1
- 17 May 2022: With the removal of its blueprints, the Magnet Base can no longer be crafted.
