This charm is imbued with a particularly useful spell that harnesses the resonant frequencies of environmental magic to preserve an equipped piece of cheese, preventing it from being taken from your trap! Every time a piece of cheese is preserved by a Baitkeep charm, the cheese will remain intact but the charm will be consumed.
However, there are some environments in Gnawnia where the resonant frequencies can be disrupted, causing a phenomenon known as Baitkeep Interference. In these environments there is a 50% chance of Baitkeep Interference occurring whenever the charm is used. When Baitkeep Interference occurs, the charm is prevented from using its magic causing the cheese to get consumed but the charm remains intact for another use! Baitkeep Interference has been known to occur in the following environments: Draconic Depths due to seismic activity |
