NOTE I created a duplicate page for the weapon at Arcane Capturing Rod of Never Yielding Mystery, note the incorrect case. The pages should be merged together; at this time, i think mine is more complete. We also need to work out who actually discovered it. -- Pakaran 00:57, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Dan Berlau appeared to be the first to mention it on the boards. Yours is indeed more complete. What needs to be done to merge them? -- Justin89h 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Could just edit both, copy-paste from mine to here, then make mine a redirect to here. -- Pakaran 01:00, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

This highly unstable trap setup is held in a constant state of metamorphosis by the unpredictable power of the Onyx stone. This trap almost appears alive, growing metal roots into whatever base to which it is attached.

This trap's methods of capture are infinitely random. It can use its jagged metallic roots to impale mice, expel a thick and dark vapor that turns mice into stone, or bend space and time to erase the mouse from existence.

Scientists of Digby warn hunters that the power of the Onyx stone is incredibly dangerous and fear that using this trap could lead to the end of the world.

The Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery weapon first appeared on 19 February 2009. It cannot be purchased and must be created through crafting. This weapon has the highest power of any known to date.

Formula

The formula for the weapon is unconfirmed, but claimed by discoverer Dan Berlau to be 12 Scrap Metal, 1 Onyx Stone, 3 Magic Essence, 1 Obelisk Parts and 1 Mysterious Blueprints [1]. The total cost is 949050 Gold for the Mysterious Blueprints and an Obelisk of Slumber to smash for the Obelisk Parts. This does not include the cost of cheese used to catch mice to drop the other parts or converted into Magic Essence.

Effectiveness

The weapon is very effective against Forgotten Mice. It also catches Shadow mice without any penalty (less effective) or bonus (very effective).

Trivia

It is interesting to note that the name of this weapon can be acronymed as ACRONYM.
