====Explore Queso Geyser====

====Explore the Floating Islands====
The King's Royal Geologists have completed their survey of Queso Geyser, allowing hunters with the Queso Geyser Replica Clay Model to access the geyser as a new hunting location!
+
Have you repaired the Skyfarer's Oculus? Have you used it to track down the four magical Warden Stones from the Storm Dragons of Moussu Picchu and taken possession of your very own airship? If so, then prepare to take flight with Ronza's armada of airships and embark on a brand new adventure!

The frequent eruptions of molten queso have attracted all sorts of powerful Draconic mice to the area! Working with Larry, the King's Geologists have devised a plan for luring these high-flying beasts towards a trap. Three words: Massive. Geyser. Corks.
+
'''Take on a new, permanent adventure: Explore the Floating Islands'''<br>
 +
Hunters of rank Archduke/Archduchess (and above) can now take to the skies!

Collect Cork Bark held by various mice native to the geyser to construct an impressively-sized cork to stick in the geyser. Then, defend your newly constructed cork from mice to allow the pressure to build to massive levels and trigger impressive eruptions of liquid cheese.
+
====Taking Flight from the Launch Pad====

Once an eruption occurs, powerful breeds of Draconic mice will swoop down from the sky towards the airborne queso and come within range of your trap. The constant flow of molten cheese will make collecting loot too dangerous, however, each item a dragon drops will go into a nest that you can safely loot once the eruption subsides.
+
Upon arriving at the Floating Islands, you'll find yourself at the Launch Pad where your airship is tethered and awaiting your arrival.

Some members of the King's Royal Council have expressed concern over the idea of constructing enormous corks to temporarily seal the geyser and build cheesy pressure in an already unstable section of ground, but the geologists have assured us that it's *perfectly* safe...
+
Before embarking on your first flight, it may be wise to hunt the Launch Pad mice to recover morsels of tasty Cloud Curd which the local Cheese Shoppe can convert into Cloud Cheesecake. This fluffy yet richly-flavoured cheesy treat is a favourite among the mice that inhabit the skies above Hollow Heights. Ronza recommends stocking up with '''75 pieces''' before embarking on your first flight.

====Types of Geyser Corks====
+
*'''100 Cloud Cheesecake'''
There are four different varieties of cork you can construct to withstand different levels of pressure and, as a result, trigger differently-sized queso eruptions. The larger the eruption, the larger (and more lucrative) Draconic mice you'll attract!
+
:A favourite for skyfarers!
 +
*'''500 Cloud Cheesecake'''
 +
:Long haul hunting!

Using spicier flavours of queso cheese will attract more powerful dragons that drop more cork, increase pressure more, and are more lucrative to hunt. With a little experimentation, you will find which flavour of queso works best for each circumstance.
+
With a stash of Cloud Cheesecake at the ready, use the Sky Map to chart a course to a Floating Island of your choosing. Your Skyfarer's Oculus will allow you to focus in on the random islands on the horizon and see what resources and possible mice you'll encounter when you arrive.

'''Small Cork'''<br>
+
====Exploring a Floating Island====
Made from Cork Bark<br>
+
Upon landing on a Floating Island, take note of the island's landscape which indicates its power type and the breeds of mice you'll encounter. You'll want to arm an appropriate trap and have it baited with Cloud Cheesecake.
Collect Cork Bark in the area to construct this lightwight cork capable of withstanding a pressure of 35 kPA to trigger a small eruption.

'''Medium Cork'''<br>
+
Have a specific power type setup you plan to always use? Access your airship's '''Trap Library''' via the heads-up display to save a favourite setup and associate it with that specific island's power type. Next time you visit an island of that power type the trap library will automatically switch your setup. Neat!
Made from Cork Bark and Rubber<br>

Collect a single Congealed Rubber during a small eruption to create a medium-sized cork. These corks can withstand pressures up to 175 kPA to trigger a medium eruption.

'''Large Cork'''<br>
+
Your objective while hunting on a Floating Island is to explore its landscape in order to discover all the resources it has to offer. As you explore by catching mice, you'll uncover areas of the island which determine the type and quantity of loot you'll find and can even provide a boost to your exploration speed.
Made from Cork Bark and Geyserite<br>

Collect a unique rock-like material called Geyserite during a medium eruption to create a large-sized cork. These corks can withstand a much greater pressure of 1,000 kPA to trigger a large eruption.

'''Epic Cork'''<br>
+
Failing to capture a mouse will allow it to alert the others to your presence and progress their plan for an ambush! The heads-up display will show your exploration progress as well as the ambush advancing towards you as two progress bars. Be extra careful when the bars meet, the resulting battle can undo your exploration efforts!
Made from Cork Bark and Tungsten<br>

Tungsten is an extremely dense material that can be collected during a large eruption to create an epic-sized cork. These corks can withstand a whopping 3,000 kPA to trigger an epic eruption!

====Looting a Dragon Nest and Rewards====
+
*'''30 Bottled Wind'''
During an eruption, the flow of molten queso makes it too dangerous to collect loot. Instead, a nest fills with loot with each capture. After each eruption subsides you can collect all the loot dropped by the various Draconic mice inside the nest and find all sorts of rewards. You'll find Bland Queso, various Spice Leaves, trap components, and other supplies!
+
:Speed up exploration!
 +
*'''100 Bottled Wind'''
 +
:Boost resource drops!

'''Amber Queso'''<br>
+
====Defeating Four Sky Wardens====
Purchase Trap Parts<br>

This valuable fossilized queso is highly sought after by the General Store owner at Queso Geyser. Collect the greatest quantities during epic eruptions by hunting the most powerful Draconic mice.

'''Geyser Smolder Stone'''<br>
+
When selecting an island, pay special attention to ones which have a Warden Shrine present. Each magical weather shrine is guarded by one of the four Sky Wardens who harness its power to control the weather.
Purchase a Physical Trap<br>

Collect or purchase three of these stones to purchase the Smoldering Stone Sentinel Trap. This impressive trap has an astonishing 12,000 Power, making it the most powerful trap in the entire Kingdom!

'''Thermal Chisel'''<br>
+
The shrines are projecting their magic even higher into the sky to create a dangerous storm that prevents flight to higher altitudes. Visit the islands with these shrines and defeat the Sky Wardens there to temporarily clear the weather and allow you to explore the High Altitude Islands.
Purchase a Tactical Trap<br>

Collect or purchase three of these chisels to purchase the Gouging Geyserite Trap. This trap boasts 9,000 Power, making it the most powerful Tactical trap ever created!

'''Queso Thermal Spring'''<br>
+
'''Explore an island where a Warden Shrine is present'''
Purchase a Hydro Trap<br>
+
Encounter a powerful Sky Warden when the two progress bars on the HUD meet.
Collect or purchase three springs to purchase the Queso Fount Trap. With 11,000 Power, the Fount Trap is the most powerful Hydro trap ever discovered!
+
With the Sky Warden defeated, you may either continue to explore the island to gather more resources or return to the Launch Pad to choose your next island. The Sky Map will keep track of how many Sky Wardens you've defeated as you work towards eliminating all four.

'''Kalor'ignis Rib'''<br>
+
====Upgrading your Oculus and Customizing your Airship====
Research a Draconic Trap<br>

This mysterious item exists only as a rumor spread by the local trapsmith. The trapsmith at Queso Geyser claims this rare and powerful item could be used to create an extremely powerful and high-luck Draconic trap. However, the exact design remains a mystery.

'''Should you uncover the Kalor'ignis Rib, be sure to visit the Trapsmith where you can offer to help and begin a quest to research this mysterious Draconic trap design.'''
+
As you explore the Floating Islands, you'll find Sky Ore and Sky Glass which can be used to upgrade your Skyfarer's Oculus by visiting the Workshop on the Launch Pad. Each upgrade will increase the quantity and variety of island resources you can find! Larger deposits of Sky Ore and Sky Glass, stashes of Cloud Curd, valuable Loot Caches, and even Sky Pirate Dens can be revealed by your upgraded oculus.

'''Magic Nest Dust'''<br>
+
'''Upgrade your oculus in the Workshop to find more lucrative islands.'''
Adds +5 items to each nest<br>

Before looting a nest, you can sprinkle this dust to magically add 5 items to the nest! Dusting a nest will add Cork Materials, Amber Queso, Bland Queso, Spice Leaves, and final random item. Dusting nests after larger eruptions will reward greater quantities of higher-tier items.

*'''1 Magic Nest Dust'''
+
While your Skyfarer's Oculus will help you find more lucrative islands to explore, you can also customize the look of your airship in the Workshop to soar through the sky in style! There are a few cosmetic upgrades for sale at the Floating Island General Store and you may just find more rare cosmetics as you explore the islands. Some of these scarce and stylish cosmetics can be exchanged on the marketplace.
:Adds five items to nests!

====Magical Properties of Wild Tonic====
+
====Confronting Paragons on High Altitude Islands====
The powerful elixir native to Queso Canyon has a number of unique effects on the geyser that you can use to your advantage!

'''Double Cork Bark'''<br>
+
Once you have defeated four Sky Wardens, your Sky Map will change and allow you to chart a High Altitude Island where powerful Sky Paragons and more valuable resources await!
Enable your Wild Tonic while collecting Cork Bark to '''double''' each drop! Pair your tonic with spicier flavours of Queso to maximize your drops!

'''Double Pressure Gain'''<br>
+
When selecting a High Altitude Island, the power type of the island determines which Paragon you encounter and the type of Paragon Loot Shrine present determines what resource that Paragon is protecting.
Once you construct a cork you'll have a limited amount of time to reach its maximum pressure before the cork degrades. Enable your Wlid Tonic while building pressure to froth up the underground queso and '''double''' the pressure gained with each hunt!

'''Bonus Nest Loot'''<br>
+
There are four unique types of Paragon loot: Sky Sprockets, Skysoft Silk, Enchanted Wings, and Cloudstone Bangles. Collect two of each to purchase an Adorned Empyrean Jewel and unlock powerful new traps!
Enable your Wild Tonic during an eruption to shake loose some extra loot with each catch and increase the size of the loot nest!

*'''150 Wild Tonic'''
+
Upon defeating a Sky Paragon, the four Sky Wardens will regroup and cover the upper skies with powerful storms once again. You'll need to defeat the four wardens again before you can return to the High Altitude Islands.
:Endless uses!

Build your own dirigible and take flight to explore what lands may float above Hollow Heights.
 +
<blockquote>

This year something new comes to the Spring Egg Hunt: The MouseHunt Eggsweeper Mini-Game! How Eggs-ilarating!
+
====Take Flight above Hollow Heights====
 +
With her airship docked in Gnawnia, Ronza has been busy studying the cause of the troublesome turbulence that plagued her flightpath through Hollow Heights airspace. She's long known the storms above Moussu Picchu to be supernatural in nature, but only recently discovered their origin is directly tied to Storm Dragons.

Eggsweeper is a brand new mini-game made in the spirit of Minesweeper. You have 10 eggs hidden somewhere in the field and you need to reveal them all to earn rank-specific rewards!
+
Above the peaks of Moussu Picchu, above even the clouds obscuring their summit, severe magical storms ravage the skies preventing any hunter from daring to explore the mysteries high above Hollow Heights. However, the relentless pursuit to understand the source of Ful'Mina the Mountain Queen's power, along with Ronza's recent flight data, has revealed a glimpse into how Storm Dragons can bend the power of weather to their will.

Each tile you reveal costs 1 Eggsweeper Shovel. When you reveal a tile, you will either be shown a number or an egg. The number shown is a clue representing how many eggs are hidden in nearby tiles (diagonals included). If you reveal an egg, you get a special Eggsweeper Egg added to your inventory based on your hunter rank.
+
''After close collaboration with Ronza, the Cartographer at Moussu Picchu has put forth a design plan for a dirigible capable of navigating through the magical storms!''

Eggsweeper Egg Tiers by Title Range:
+
====Recovering an Oculus for Aerial Reconnaissance====

  • Tier 1: Novice to Journeyman/Journeywoman
+
Ronza's flight data has confirmed what many believed to be myth: Ful'Mina and the other Storm Dragons are in possession of four magical weather stones. These stones are believed to protect Storm Dragons from the intense weather energy they so easily control and are the secret to protecting an airship seeking passage above Hollow Heights.
  • Tier 2: Master to Lord/Lady

  • Tier 3: Baron/Baronness and Count/Countess

  • Tier 4: Duke/Duchess and up

These eggs will contain loot appropriate for areas in the Kingdom tied to the hunter ranks.

You can find 10 Eggsweeper Shovels inside of this year's Golden Egg. You can also find them in your Daily Loyalty Chest or purchase them from the Premium Store.
+
Finding these stones, however, is no straightforward task. They're obscured from anyone not utilizing a Skyfarer's Oculus for aerial reconnaissance. Ancient legend states that this powerful lens is guarded by Ful'Mina herself, which means you must confront her at Moussu Picchu and pry the oculus from her powerful grasp.

In addition to the Spring Hunt release, we have also done some quality of life updates to sending supplies. You are now able to send and receive supplies to and from all hunters, regardless of friend status! There is a new setting in the Game Settings tab of the User Preferences page that will allow you to receive supplies from anyone. By default, this setting is disabled.

Explore the Floating Islands

8 September 2020

Take flight with Ronza and explore the skies!
The time has come to put your very own dirigible to use and take flight above Hollow Heights!

Explore the Floating Islands

Have you repaired the Skyfarer's Oculus? Have you used it to track down the four magical Warden Stones from the Storm Dragons of Moussu Picchu and taken possession of your very own airship? If so, then prepare to take flight with Ronza's armada of airships and embark on a brand new adventure!

Take on a new, permanent adventure: Explore the Floating Islands
Hunters of rank Archduke/Archduchess (and above) can now take to the skies!

Taking Flight from the Launch Pad

Upon arriving at the Floating Islands, you'll find yourself at the Launch Pad where your airship is tethered and awaiting your arrival.

Ronza recommends stocking up with 75 pieces before embarking on your first flight.

  • 100 Cloud Cheesecake
A favourite for skyfarers!
  • 500 Cloud Cheesecake
Long haul hunting!

With a stash of Cloud Cheesecake at the ready, use the Sky Map to chart a course to a Floating Island of your choosing. Your Skyfarer's Oculus will allow you to focus in on the random islands on the horizon and see what resources and possible mice you'll encounter when you arrive.

Exploring a Floating Island

Upon landing on a Floating Island, take note of the island's landscape which indicates its power type and the breeds of mice you'll encounter. You'll want to arm an appropriate trap and have it baited with Cloud Cheesecake.

Have a specific power type setup you plan to always use? Access your airship's Trap Library via the heads-up display to save a favourite setup and associate it with that specific island's power type. Next time you visit an island of that power type the trap library will automatically switch your setup. Neat!

Your objective while hunting on a Floating Island is to explore its landscape in order to discover all the resources it has to offer. As you explore by catching mice, you'll uncover areas of the island which determine the type and quantity of loot you'll find and can even provide a boost to your exploration speed.

Failing to capture a mouse will allow it to alert the others to your presence and progress their plan for an ambush! The heads-up display will show your exploration progress as well as the ambush advancing towards you as two progress bars. Be extra careful when the bars meet, the resulting battle can undo your exploration efforts!

Defeating Four Sky Wardens

When selecting an island, pay special attention to ones which have a Warden Shrine present. Each magical weather shrine is guarded by one of the four Sky Wardens who harness its power to control the weather.

The shrines are projecting their magic even higher into the sky to create a dangerous storm that prevents flight to higher altitudes. Visit the islands with these shrines and defeat the Sky Wardens there to temporarily clear the weather and allow you to explore the High Altitude Islands.

Explore an island where a Warden Shrine is present Encounter a powerful Sky Warden when the two progress bars on the HUD meet. With the Sky Warden defeated, you may either continue to explore the island to gather more resources or return to the Launch Pad to choose your next island. The Sky Map will keep track of how many Sky Wardens you've defeated as you work towards eliminating all four.

Upgrading your Oculus and Customizing your Airship

As you explore the Floating Islands, you'll find Sky Ore and Sky Glass which can be used to upgrade your Skyfarer's Oculus by visiting the Workshop on the Launch Pad. Each upgrade will increase the quantity and variety of island resources you can find! Larger deposits of Sky Ore and Sky Glass, stashes of Cloud Curd, valuable Loot Caches, and even Sky Pirate Dens can be revealed by your upgraded oculus.

Upgrade your oculus in the Workshop to find more lucrative islands.

Confronting Paragons on High Altitude Islands

Once you have defeated four Sky Wardens, your Sky Map will change and allow you to chart a High Altitude Island where powerful Sky Paragons and more valuable resources await!

When selecting a High Altitude Island, the power type of the island determines which Paragon you encounter and the type of Paragon Loot Shrine present determines what resource that Paragon is protecting.

There are four unique types of Paragon loot: Sky Sprockets, Skysoft Silk, Enchanted Wings, and Cloudstone Bangles. Collect two of each to purchase an Adorned Empyrean Jewel and unlock powerful new traps!

Upon defeating a Sky Paragon, the four Sky Wardens will regroup and cover the upper skies with powerful storms once again. You'll need to defeat the four wardens again before you can return to the High Altitude Islands.

Ascending to new Hollowed Heights

25 August 2020

What lies beyond the storms of Moussu Picchu?
Build your own dirigible and take flight to explore what lands may float above Hollow Heights.

Take Flight above Hollow Heights

With her airship docked in Gnawnia, Ronza has been busy studying the cause of the troublesome turbulence that plagued her flightpath through Hollow Heights airspace. She's long known the storms above Moussu Picchu to be supernatural in nature, but only recently discovered their origin is directly tied to Storm Dragons.

After close collaboration with Ronza, the Cartographer at Moussu Picchu has put forth a design plan for a dirigible capable of navigating through the magical storms!

Recovering an Oculus for Aerial Reconnaissance

Ronza's flight data has confirmed what many believed to be myth: Ful'Mina and the other Storm Dragons are in possession of four magical weather stones. These stones are believed to protect Storm Dragons from the intense weather energy they so easily control and are the secret to protecting an airship seeking passage above Hollow Heights.

Purchasing your Airship

Once you safely recover a fully functional Skyfarer's Oculus, you'll be able to seek out the four warden stones and purchase your very own dirigible!

Put your oculus to use by tracking down any of the Storm Dragon mice and recover a Fog Warden Stone, Frost Warden Stone, Rain Warden Stone, and Wind Warden Stone.

Finally, visit the Moussu Picchu Cartographer to have the four stones and oculus installed onto your very own dirigible!

Preparing for the First Air Expedition

With so many hunters about to become novice pilots, the King has expressed some concern for safety.

His Majesty has decreed that the first air expedition will be an armada of airships led by Ronza herself! Under the experienced tutelage of Ronza, the King is confident that the first coordinated flights by Gnawnian hunters will proceed without incident.

Hunters of rank Archduke/Archduchess (and above) who have secured their own Dirigible and Flight License on Tuesday, September 8 can be some of the very first to take flight and explore what lands are floating above Hollow Heights. Thereafter, any hunter is free to take flight without the direct supervision of Ronza.

The first air expedition will depart on Tuesday, September 8.
