::::It's mentioned in the item description, albeit a little cryptic. "What use does this juicy burger have you ask? Well, it's for looking delicious in your inventory, of course!" Not surprised that they missed out on tagging it under the novelty tab. It is quite an ad hoc classification anyway, seeing as they never removed the items found in the novelty tab from the crafting dropdown list. Probably will have to wait for MH v3 to be released to be sure. In the meantime I wouldn't worry too much about this, although you could drop Dave V. a question if it's bugging you :) -- Grexx 06:27, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Crown Jewel
When a hunter collects a Crown Jewel from a Master Burglar it appears under the Collectibles menu with the other items in this article. As such I think it should probably be included here. However, the problematic question rests in how it should be included. Unlike the other items in this article, the Crown Jewel actually serves a useful purpose in the game, and it is impossible to progress to certain areas without it. It doesn't seem to fit too well in the Interactive Items or Non-interactive Items sections, but I'm not sure if another section should be created solely for the Crown Jewel. Perhaps I'm just feeling a bit fatigued at the moment and not thinking clearly, but I'm having some difficulty deciding what ought to be done. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A discussion in the editors group pointed out that we have items that are marked in the game as "collectibles" split across three pages: here, Crafting Items and Tiger Heart Chest.  I propose moving all of the collectibles to this page (Tiger Heart Chest can either be deleted or it can remain as a separate page, but still listed here). I'm not sure what the full list of collectibles is, but I know that the 12 days of Christmas event items are collectibles, not crafting items (they weren't really used in crafting, but were exchanged for a weapon by Larry)... What do you think? Anyone up to figuring this out and moving stuff around? -- camomiletea 04:39, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Novelty Items

I think "Novelty Items" is a better name for this article. Also, the novelty items from Crafting_Items#Novelty_Items should be moved here as well since the tab in-game contains all those items. --Hyperchao 00:44, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Upon closer inspection of the distinction between Crafting/Event Limited/Novelty Items I withdraw my suggestions. --Hyperchao 07:27, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
The sorting is explained on Talk:Crafting_Items#Categorization_of_Novelty_Items. In brief:
1) Teddy Bears and related "huggable" items will be placed here (Novelty Collectibles),
2) Items that we know have no use, because they have been confirmed as such by the devs, and that appear in the Crafting ingredients drop-down menu -- will be in Crafting Items#Novelty Items;
3) Items that have a known use (or if a use hasn't been revealed yet but devs did not specifically say there is no use) will be placed either in the main Crafting Items#Crafting Items table or Crafting Items#Event Limited Crafting Items as appropriate.
-- camomiletea 17:21, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Was Ronzaburger also confirmed to be of no use? I only wonder because it still shows up in the Crafting tab (not just the drop-down list) whereas everything else that is considered "Novelty Items" shows up in the Novelty tab as expected. --Hyperchao 21:56, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
It's mentioned in the item description, albeit a little cryptic.
I think they've also mentioned it in one of the Feedback Fridays... I don't have time to go looking for it, and it's not that important. -- camomiletea 19:17, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Also—before I forget—here's the description:

The Master Burglar Mouse has dropped a flawless gem. When held up to the sun, it sparkles brightly enough to temporarily blind someone. A gem of this quality could only have come from the King’s personal vault-- perhaps the King is offering some sort of reward for its return.

Leave it to devs to come up with something that defies existing categorization! ;) I'd put it in Non-interactive, and make a note about its use (exchanged for map piece, etc.). An example of a note can be seen from the Smashed Teddy Bear item. -- camomiletea 04:02, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Collectibles Re-organization

A discussion in the editors group pointed out that we have items that are marked in the game as "collectibles" split across three pages: here, Crafting Items and Tiger Heart Chest. I propose moving all of the collectibles to this page (Tiger Heart Chest can either be deleted or it can remain as a separate page, but still listed here).
