Ordering

Wondering if an adjustment of the ordering based on the dates in which an event occurs would be more logical, rather than alphabetical. This is due to the fact that most events are one-off rather than annual, especially the available rewards. While some mice might be released on an annual basis (ie Elf, Hollowhead), that does not make it the same event. Let me know your thoughts on this. -- Grexx 05:32, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

I agree that the chronological order makes more sense. However, it's already sorted by date, rather than alphabetical. It's sorted from the earliest to latest; but maybe the reverse chronological (from latest to earliest) would be best, and more like everywhere else in the Wiki. -- Camomiletea 15:18, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Oops, looks like I've been a little muddled of late. Didn't look at it carefully :X You had it spot on with the reverse chronological order though. Also, from what I see so far, the event names haven't been recycled. In the event that they do, we'll probably need to add a year behind each event, but that's for another time. -- Grexx 15:26, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

What Events Are - Clarification

Events have been defined as occasions when Event mice are released. Accordingly I have removed two weekend non-events (because no Event mice were released during those weekends). On the other hand, we should look into adding the Ronza's visit in 2009 because it was accompanied by the release of Rockstar mice (even though they weren't in Ronza's shop, but various other locations). Now the definition of an event can be changed, if we discuss it and come up with a different one; but for now those weekends don't qualify, and Ronza 2009 may. -- camomiletea 04:32, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, blame me for not reading it properly. here's something to start with: http://mhwiki.hitgrab.com/wiki/index.php/MHWiki:Current_events/Archive/2009/October — YiKai 09:51, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Well, that definition seems arbitrary to me, and was probably defined before the devs started doing Tribal Loot and Double Fire Salt weekends and such. Either we call any special Event an Event, or we have to make up a second arbitrary category to call the "Weekend Events"....aaronmil 14:42, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
I think the mini weekend events do need to be documented; I just don't feel that they really sort of fit here. The difference is that they only last a few days, and they can repeat more than once a year... Let's try a compromise. We can break up this article into two major sections -- one with the major events, and one with all the weekend events. How does that sound? The introductory section will need to be reworded too so that it doesn't require "event mice". -- camomiletea 04:30, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
