Talk:Trap Setup Options for the Pinnacle Chamber

From MHWiki

My recommendation is to simplfy the table by removing the Dehy bases from the table and just add a note that the hunter may use the Dehy Base instead of the Explosive base when hunting for the Hapless mouse. I only like to include trap setup options in the table that give the hunter an advantage in one of the categories.

Trap Base Cheese Power Luck Cheese Effect Attraction Points Gold Master of the Dojo Ambush Trap Blueprints
Zugzwang's Last Move Explosive Base Rumble 3,000 7 0No Effect 2 2 2 2 3
Zugzwang's Last Move Dehydration Base Brie 2,789 11 0No Effect 4 4 4 NA 1
Venus Mouse Trap Explosive Base Rumble 2,310 5 2Very Fresh 1 3 3 3 3
Venus Mouse Trap Dehydration Base Brie 2,125 9 2Very Fresh 4 4 4 NA 1
Ambush Explosive Base Rumble 3,630 12 0No Effect 2 1 1 1 N/A

Note: Hunters may use the Explosive Base in place of the Dehydration Base when hunting for the Hapless Mouse

Good idea, I'll change it now Thomas5436 22:19, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Why is there N/A for Ambush/Expl/Rumble in the Ambush Blueprints column? -- Camomiletea 03:27, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

The thinking is that it doesn't make sense to use the Ambush Trap to hunt for the Ambush Blueprints since the hunter has already accomplished the goal of crafting an Ambush trap. Since this goal (column) is not applicable to this trap I didn't want to give it a numeric rating. It should be sorted to the bottom. -- Ralphminer 10:18, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Horrific Venus Mouse Trap

Is there any reason this hasnt been included in the table? Just confused because of it...im sure it should be better then ambush there...

Yes the Horrific Venus Mouse Trap is more powerful tactical trap than the Ambush - it is not included because when you need to be at the Legendary level in order to craft the Horrific Venus Mouse Trap and only a Grandmaster to hunt in the Pinnacle Chamber. In order to keep the number of options to a reasonable number, I exclude advanced traps that are not readily available to the hunter based upon the minimal rank needed to hunt in a location. -- Ralphminer 13:17, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
ahh! ok. Thanks for clearing that up! Matt Mollart 22:32, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
