Obtaining an Arduous Treasure Map

Arduous Maps are found in Treasure Map Scroll Cases dropped by the Relic Hunter Mouse in exchange for 1 Ancient Relic. They are only available to Hunters ranked Baron and Baroness or above. Hunters of lower ranks may be invited to join the map.

Hunters may upgrade their Arduous Treasure Map to a Rare Arduous Treasure Map by using Rare Map Dust. This doubles the guaranteed rewards and increases the chance of receiving rare rewards.

Arduous Treasure Map Mice and Locations

Arduous Maps require Hunters to capture 35 mice from around the Kingdom.

Once we have the new maps, a list of potential mice will be shown here.

Arduous Treasure Chest

Treasure Chest contents are dependent on the current Season of treasure hunting. The tables below represent the rewards for Season Two.

Guaranteed Rewards

This table shows the rewards contained in an Arduous Treasure Chest or Rare Arduous Treasure Chest that each Hunter is guaranteed to receive upon completion of an Arduous Map.

Rewards are determined by the rank the player holds when the reward chest is opened, not when it was awarded.

Hunters may receive the current season's Limited Edition trap or assorted trap skins when opening their reward chests. Rare chests are more likely to contain these items.

Season Two's Limited Edition trap is the Chesla's Revenge. This item can be found in chests labeled Season Two.

Season One's Limited Edition trap was the Ancient Gauntlet. This item can be found in chests labeled Season One.

Relic Hunter Treasure Maps

This info represents mechanics as explained in recent FBF broadcasts and is likely to change when Season 3 begins

Relic Hunter Treasure Maps are found in Relic Hunter Scroll Case which are dropped by the Relic Hunter Mouse. The Relic Hunter Mouse removes 1 Ancient Relic from the Hunter's inventory when dropping a scroll case. When Hunters reaches X Relic Hunter Scroll Cases in their inventory, the Relic Hunter Mouse can still be encountered, but will no longer drop scroll cases or take Ancient Relics.

Relic Hunter Treasure Maps take Hunters throughout the Kingdom. The higher a Hunter's rank, the more likely it is that they will receive a more difficult map when opening a Relic Hunter Scroll Case.

In 2012 the scroll case and treasure chests were simply called Halloween Scroll Case and Hallowe'en Tresure Chest. At the end of the 2012 Halloween event any remaining scroll cases in a Hunter's inventory were converted to standard Treasure Map Scroll Casess". The names were changed in 2014 to 2012 Halloween Scroll Case and 2012 Halloween Treasure Chest.
