The Bacon Base was available for purchase for 70,000 gold from Ronza's Traveling Shoppe during Ronza's January 2011 visit. It refunded for 14,000 gold at the same location. It can no longer be obtained.

- 14 January 2011: It was revealed during Feedback Friday that the Bacon Base was inspired by the numerous threads relating to bacon that had been abundant on the forums.
- The "Nether Pig" portion of the description is a reference to the Nether-dwelling Pigmen of Minecraft who originally dropped slabs of pork (aka bacon) when defeated.
