Been having some problems lately with saving edits :/ Might take longer to respond than usual. Keeps giving me session timeout.

Some basic info about myself

MHWiki is the 1st non-MMO Wiki and 3rd Game Wiki I'm contributing to. I actually prefer to do lots of data mining, but MH goes at a somewhat more relaxed pace, so I started doing general Wiki editing too. Feel free to ask any questions or ask for help with the wiki/game, including technical related stuff and I'll try my best. If you want to keep it private, you can send me a facebook message or drop me a wiki mail.

Wiki Etiquette

For new editors, please also read through this very important Wikipedia article on wiki etiquette here.

The following I find especially important:

• Work towards agreement.
• Argue facts, not personalities.
• Be civil.

Many players treat the wiki like the forums, which it is not. Keep drama off the wiki, please.

Remember, only Facts and Truths on the wiki. None of that "I think it should be like this". A single mistake on a major page can send hundreds of players off trying to duplicate or verify the facts if not corrected quickly. When in doubt, discuss on the talk page.

List of things that need attention

Here are just some of the things that the wiki needs help with but which I currently can't find the time to do up:

• FAQ STILL needs some attention with regards to re-wording, fact checking, and providing of examples. Talk:FAQ
• Individual Mouse pages need a traceback on Dave's edits for Loot frequency information. Talk:Mice Task has been completed thanks to Camomiletea!
• Trap Effectiveness needs to be created and explained in detail. Trap Effectiveness; User:Grexx/Sandbox#Trap_Effectiveness_Chart Completed
• Starting out Page could do with some attention.
• General Path Page could use a huge cleanup brush. And probably a better name. Sounds like some Zen course right now lol. See User:Grexx/Sandbox#Newbie_Help for some ideas. See also Talk:General_Path for discussions.
• Clearer writeup needed for RB Potions page. See talk page here. Problem solved by Brossow moving the info directly into table.
• Site Map being considered. (Low Priority, will be done only if really free!)
• Converting all crafted item formulae into table form for ease of reading/clarity. See User:Grexx/Sandbox#Combat Completed
• Adding a brief but informative description to the various links all over the wiki so that players can more easily decide whether to follow a link. Example: Crafted cheese#See Also
