Special Effects
The Spiked Base prevents losing progress when encountering Brute mice in the Brutal Bulwark, Bombing Run and The Mad Depths zones of the Iceberg.

- 24 May 2012: The Spiked Base was introduced with the release of the Iceberg location.
- 22 March 2022: The Spiked Base became available in some Trapsmith with the Shops Infrastructure Overhaul update.
- 22 March 2022: The Spiked Base received a cost update:
- Frosty Metal cost: 5 -> 3
- Wire Spool cost: 5 -> 3
- Heating Oil cost: 10 -> 5
- 17 May 2022: With the removal of its blueprints, the Spiked Base can no longer be crafted.
