Traumatized by its terrible experience with a Swiss Army Trap (in a nightmare it had once), the Cowardly mouse sees constant menace in its idyllic surroundings. To this neurotic little rodent, every blade of grass represents a potentially fatal paper cut, and every rose a debilitating eye injury caused by getting too close for a sniff, followed by a bird landing on the bush at the the wrong moment, which causes the thorns to. . . well, you get the picture. | |||

History and Trivia
- Cowardly mice were introduced 30 June 2010.
- On 4 March 2011, Cowardly mice could be found at the Birthday Party location during MouseHunt's 3rd Birthday Celebration, where they were found to drop Cupcake Colby Potion and Nanny Charms as loot.
- Cowardly mice began dropping the Blue Argyle Egg as loot, in the Town of Gnawnia on 16 April 2011, for the Spring Egg Hunt 2011 event.
- Cowardly mice appeared at the Birthday Party Celebration location during the MouseHunt's Fourth Birthday Celebration event, during which they were known to drop 2012 Birthday Gifts and Party Charms as loot.
- Cowardly mice could be found at the Great Gnawnian Games in August 2012, when hunting without Runny cheese.
- On 11 February 2013, they appeared in Calamity Carl's Cozy Cruise as part of the Year of the Snake Festival, dropping Cruise Bux and Gnawnian Shoreline Souvenirs as loot.
- On 25 June 2013, they gained a vulnerability to Law power type traps, with the release of Varmint Valley.
