Relic Hunter Treasure Maps

This info represents mechanics as explained in recent FBF broadcasts and is likely to change when Season 3 begins

Relic Hunter Treasure Maps are found in Relic Hunter Scroll Case which are dropped by the Relic Hunter Mouse. The Relic Hunter Mouse removes 1 Ancient Relic from the Hunter's inventory when dropping a scroll case. When Hunters reach X Relic Hunter Scroll Cases in their inventory, the Relic Hunter Mouse can still be encountered, but will no longer drop scroll cases or take Ancient Relics.

Relic Hunter Treasure Maps take Hunters throughout the Kingdom. As Hunters increase in rank they are able to find more difficult maps inside Relic Hunter Scroll Cases.

Acquiring an Arduous Treasure Map

Hunters ranked Duke/Duchess and above can find Arduous Maps in Relic Hunter Scroll Cases dropped by the Relic Hunter Mouse in exchange for 1 Ancient Relic. Hunters ranked Legendary and above can be invited to join Arduous Maps.

Hunters may upgrade their Arduous Treasure Map to a Rare Arduous Treasure Map by using Rare Map Dust. This doubles the guaranteed rewards and increases the chance of receiving rare rewards.

Mice found on an Arduous Treasure Map

Arduous Maps require Hunters to capture 35 mice from around the Kingdom. Mice found in very low level areas generally do not appear on these maps.

Arduous Treasure Chests

Treasure Chest contents are dependent on the Season of treasure hunting and are labelled with the season in which they were awarded.

Season Two Rewards

Season Two is currently in progress.

During season 2, Hunters ranked Baron/Baroness and above were able to find Arduous Maps in Treasure Map Scroll Cases and Hunters ranked Journeyman could join Arduous Maps.

These items are found in each Arduous Treasure Chest.
Gold and Points increase with the Hunter's rank and are awarded based on the rank held when the chest is opened.
Rare chests are awarded to Hunters who have used Rare Map Dust on an Arduous Treasure Map.

Season One ended on 14 January 2014. Season One chest are no longer awarded, but any such chests in a Hunter's inventory will still provide rewards as outlined below.

  • 1 In 2012 and 2013 the scroll case and treasure chests were simply called Halloween Scroll Case and Halloween Treasure Chest. At the end of the 2012 Halloween event any remaining scroll cases in a Hunter's inventory were converted to standard Treasure Map Scroll Cases. In 2013 the Halloween Scroll Case was reintroduced. The names were changed in 2014 to 2012 Halloween Scroll Case and 2012 Halloween Treasure Chest.

This map is only found in Sealed Athletic Lunar Scroll Cases dropped by the Red Envelope Mouse during the Year of the Horse Festival in 2014. Applying Rare Map Dust to this map will reward Hunters with a Rare Athletic Lunar Treasure Chest.

Hunters may only have one Sealed Athletic Lunar Scroll Case in their inventory at a time.

Mice found on an Athletic Lunar List Treasure Map

These maps contain 19 or 20 mice found aboard Calamity Carl's Cozy Cruise. Because these maps require catching Great Gnawnian Games mice, they could not be completed during the 2015 Lunar New Year event.

Mice found on a Halloween Treasure Map 2012/2013

In 2012 and 2013, these maps contained 10 mice found in the Haunted Terrortories (2010-2013).

Hunters with 2012 Halloween Scroll Cases in their inventory were able to open and complete the enclosed maps during the Halloween 2014 event. These maps continue to reward 2012 Halloween Treasure Chests upon completion.

Treasure Chests

Chests earned during the Halloween 2012 and Halloween 2013 events were simply called Halloween Treasure Chests and Rare Halloween Treasure Chests. In 2014, any such chests in Hunter inventories were renamed as 2012 Halloween Treasure Chests and Rare 2012 Halloween Treasure Chests.

Acquiring a Nice List 2013

Reinbo, Snow Boulder Mouse, and Snow Sorceress mice dropped Sealed Nice Lists at the Festive Snow Fort during the Great Winter Snowball Fight in 2013. In 2014 Sealed Nice Lists were renamed Sealed 2013 Nice Lists.

Mice found on a Nice List 2013

These maps contain 10 mice found at the Festive Snow Fort in 2013.

Hunters with Sealed 2013 Nice Lists in their inventory could open and complete theses maps at the Festive Ice Fortress in 2014. They continued to award Nice 2013 Treasure Chests when completed.

Treasure Chests

In 2013, Nice Lists awarded Nice Treasure Chests. In 2014, these chests were renamed Nice 2013 Treasure Chests.

Guaranteed Items

These items are found in each Nice 2013 Treasure Chest.
Gold and Points increase with the Hunter's rank and are awarded based on the rank held when the chest is opened.
Rare chests are awarded to Hunters who have used Rare Map Dust on a Nice List 2013.
