Power Type

"Mice have specific weaknesses to certain Power Types. Using the appropriate weapon in the appropriate area is a critical part of any hunter’s strategy."

The Power Type is an attribute of weapons that determines their effectiveness against certain mice, and an attribute of mice determining their susceptibility to such weapons. The effectiveness of weapons of particular power type may differ against certain mice or in certain locations.

There are currently five different power types:

• Physical
• Tactical
• Shadow
• Forgotten
• Arcane
• Hydro

Bases do not have Power Types. The Power Type of a trap is determined by the weapon component.

Many hunting locations have a preponderance of mice of a given Power Type. For example, in the Mousoleum, shadow mice dominate. As such, certain weapon Power Types are more suited, and often required for successful hunting, in certain locations.

Effectiveness Chart

This following chart lists a generalization of the effectiveness of the 6 existing Trap Power Types against the different Mouse Power Types. There are some exceptions to the chart, and these have been noted in the exceptions section underneath the chart.

Exceptions

¹ Physical traps are less effective against the Tactical mice in Furoma.

² Arcane traps are less effective against the Physical mice in the Tribal Isles.

³ Shadow traps have no effect against the Harpy Mouse.
