The Birthday Cake Base was introduced on 7 March 2009 when hunters were finally able to open their Fancy Birthday Gifts and discovered this base inside. It was the only base with an associated [[power type]] at the time of release, that being [[Physical]]. As of 16 March 2009, the base no longer has an associated power type. It remains unknown whether the original power type was intentional or an oversight by the developers.
