<p>It seems the Festive Comet sparked a creative curiosity with everyone's favourite hunting helper Larry! With all the strange items being discovered within the layers of snow at the comet, Larry devised a trap to fit the festive season that he is calling "The Christmas Cracker Trap".</p>

<p>Larry would be happy to construct a Christmas Cracker Trap for you if you have managed to collect all 12 items from the 12 Days of Christmas. He is also willing to exchange a few pieces of SUPER|brie+ from his own personal stash (it's all he hunts with!) for each of your Festive Items. Make your choice wisely. You will be '''unable''' to collect any of the 12 items again once you have exchanged them.</p>

<p>'''The new items include:'''</p>

==== Spring Forward into another Egg-Packed Season! ====
 +
One of the most time-honoured events has returned to the Kingdom of Gnawnia! This year the Spring Egg Hunt features 11 brand new eggs, loads of chocolate fondue, and a very special reward found on Lady Laura’s final shelf that will begin a journey extending beyond the Spring Egg Hunt!

* Reindeer Slippers - Because hunting in the Mountains is the leading cause of chilled feet.
+
To get started, you'll need a special egg-finding piece of equipment called an Eggscavator. If you do not already own one, you can claim one for free from the Spring Egg Hunt heads-up display. So grab yourself an Eggscavator and get ready for an eggsceptional season!

* Yule Log - Loaded with enough sugar to keep you energetic during those long tournament competitions.
+
==== Eggstra Fondue: A Decadent Delight from Lady Laura! ====
 +
Lady Laura, the esteemed chocolatier, has outdone herself this year with an exquisite addition to her culinary repertoire: Eggstra Fondue. This divine chocolate fondue crafted with a celestial symphony of flavor and texture promises an indulgent gustatory experience like no other!

* Festive Retraining Order - Know someone who constantly begs for gold or posts on your cork board too frequently? Wish them happy holidays from 500 feet away at all times.
+
Taking over the role of Eggstra Charms from past Egg Hunts, Eggstra Fondue brings a new level of decadence to the Spring Egg Hunt by freeing up the charm slot to strategically aid in your egg-hunting endeavours! Activated through the event HUD, this luxurious fondue produces Chocolatonium and doubles any eggs dropped and produces extra Chocolatonium for each egg looted! When paired with the Chocolate Bar Base, it has the rare chance to triple the eggs dropped instead of just doubling them.

* Toy Ronza Ship - Have a friend with an unhealthy Ronza obsession? Then this is the perfect gift!
+
<div style="text-align: center; border: 0.083em solid; border-radius: 0.416em; padding: 0.416em">'''An Eggstra Important Note'''
 +
The Eggstra ingredient used in Eggstra Charms and Eggstra Charge Charms from previous Egg Hunts has gone stale. These charms can be smashed with the Hunter's Hammer to reactivate the Eggstra ingredient and convert them into Eggstra Fondue!
 +
'''Eggstra Fondue is NOT safe for consumption and should be handled with protective equipment.'''</div>

* Gold Brick - Who says you can't buy friendship? Dropping 250,000 gold on a completely useless gold brick makes a bold statement! Every time your friend sees a gold brick in their inventory they'll be sure to think of you.
+
Unfortunately, a certain group of greedy, chocolate-obsessed mice have once again ambushed Lady Laura's caravan and stolen all of her Chocolatonium! Collect the stolen Chocolatonium from the Spring Egg Hunt mice roaming all over the Kingdom. These mice are so plentiful right now that you won't even need cheese to attract them!

<p>'''All the new items are entirely novelty collectables. None of the novelty gifts will have a practical use to help your hunting in the future, so don't stress if you don't receive any as gifts.'''</p>
+
'''Return the Chocolatonium to Lady Laura to unlock the shelves in her Chocolate Shop''' and she'll show her gratitude by presenting you with special, one-time rewards for unlocking each shelf. Once a shelf has been unlocked, you'll be able to purchase the items on that shelf with Chocolatonium anytime during the event.

<p>Happy Holiday Hunting!</p>

<p>A few of the holiday novelty items at the Festive Gift Shoppe have sold out! Don't worry though! A new shipment of items has arrived just in time to restock the shelves!</p>

You will be able to use this valuable new cheese starting '''April 16, 2024''' when the M1000 will be activated in the '''Table of Contents'''!

<p>Perhaps even more exciting, the Festive Shoppe was able to secure a small supply of one of this year's hot-ticket items: The Slap Cat! Cuddling this cute plush cat is sure to knock some sense into any hunter and provide the moral support needed when looking to catch those tough-to-hunt mice!</p>
+
Catching the M1000 will reward the map piece for the upcoming '''School of Sorcery''' as well as a powerful new aura: the '''Millenniaura'''!

==== Spring Mice and Spring Eggs ====
 +
The Chocolatonium has driven the spring event mice into such a frenzy that you can find these mice '''EVERYWHERE''' in the Kingdom! They're so abundant that you do not need special cheese to attract them. In fact, you don't need any cheese at all!

<p>The 12 Days 'til Christmas event is still rolling along!</p>
+
The spring event mice '''all come exclusively from bonus hunts''' meaning they'll occasionally wander into your trap without consuming cheese or charms and without affecting any area gameplay progression. The spring mice will ''always'' drop Chocolatonium when caught.

<p>Larry seems especially interested in discovering a use for the 12 items and has been spotted at the Festive Comet baiting a trap. Larry's research, although enthusiastic, is proving to not be the most insightful -- He has upgraded his theory about the items from "They make something" to "They make something cool". Thanks Larry, your words of wisdom always provide such sage guidance.</p>
+
In the midst of this Chocolatonium frenzy, some special mice have relocated to new, permanent homes within Gnawnia. Certain mice with a history of love and heartache are waiting to be discovered among a few different locations in the kingdom, and may be the key to finding one of the new eggs…

<p>A final piece of advice offered by the scientists of Digby: the 12 new items are each discovered as a new layer of the comet melts. The items are no doubt most abundant when they are first discovered and become less abundant once the layer has entirely melted and the next item has been discovered. So remember -- don't wait until the last minute to hunt at the comet!</p>
+
==== New Year, New Eggs! ====
 +
There are '''11 new eggs''' to find! Can you decipher their hints and find them to collect their bonus loot? Remember, you'll need your trusty Eggscavator to find them so make sure you pick one up before you head out!

==== The Eggsweeper Mini-Game Has Returned! ====
 +
'''HOW TO PLAY''': There are 10 eggs hidden somewhere in the field and you need to reveal them all to earn rank-specific rewards! Each tile you reveal costs 1 Eggsweeper Shovel. When you reveal a tile, you will either be shown a number or an egg. The number shown is a clue representing how many eggs are hidden in nearby tiles (diagonals included). If you reveal an egg, you get a special Eggsweeper Egg added to your inventory based on your hunter title.

<p>Happy Holiday Hunting!</p>
+
These eggs will contain loot appropriate for areas in the Kingdom tied to hunter ranks, '''now including the Bountiful Beanstalk in the Tier 5 Egg''' (Archduke/Archduchess and up). You can find a few Eggsweeper Shovels in each of this year's Spring Eggs including a whopping 60 inside the Golden Egg! You can also find them in your Daily Loyalty Chest, Lady Laura will gift you some for unlocking each of the shelves in her Chocolate Shop, or you can purchase them from the Premium Shop.

For even more eggstraordinary rewards, dust your Eggsweeper field with Magical Fertilizer before you start the mini-game! All the eggs found in a fertilized field will eggsplode with even more amazing loot!

<p>Most hunters have noticed that the Festive Comet has been slowly melting for the past several days, but what has gone unnoticed until now is the peculiar way in which the comet has been melting. Digby's finest scientists have been stationed at the Festive Comet since its landing and were the first to discover the comet's odd melting pattern.</p>

<p>The scientists of Digby's discovery was that the comet has been melting in layers, as though the mighty comet had slowly been growing while on its crash-course with Gnawnia. Each layer has slightly different density and appears to have different melting rates. The fascinating coincidence is that the next 12 layers all appear to have the same melting rate of approximately 24 hours!</p>
+
==== Supplies and Eggcessories ====
 +
The King has assembled this eggsquisite collection of bundles and kits to help you find the most eggs ''and'' the most Chocolatonium!

<p>What does this mean to those hunting at the Festive Comet? You can expect a new layer of snow to melt each and everyday! What is the significance of a layer melting? Well, as the comet flew through festive outer-space it smashed its way through 12 rings of debris in the Friendly Festive Galaxy of Fantastic Fancy items! (Scientists are still debating on a final name). As the comet passed through each ring, massive amounts of festive debris stuck to the comet and quickly became incased in snow, causing the comet to grow in size.</p>

Chocolatonium has a highly unstable atomic structure and therefore only has a very short half-life. ''{{date|08|December|2009}}''

<blockquote>

<p>As the Festive Comet slowly melts, the mice there have come across some new, interesting items! According to the reports pouring in from researchers stationed on the comet, the mice have unearthed blueprints detailing how to construct hunting gear out of planks of gingerbread.</p>

<p>Various mice at the Festive Comet have been spotted using the scraps of blueprint as nesting material. The prints are somewhat rare at the moment, but researchers are confident that as more of the comet melts, more blueprints will be discovered.</p>

=== The Great Winter Hunt '09 ===

''{{date|03|December|2009}}''

<blockquote>

<p>'''Welcome all to the first, annual, Great Winter Hunt!'''</p>

<p>"The Festive Comet" earlier discovered by those kooky Digby scientists has landed and we are all still here and hunting!</p>

<p>The collision with Gnawnia has caused massive amounts of global "heart" warming as a sudden wave of festive cheer has attracted a variety of old and new mice to the area!</p>

<p>'''Event Details:'''</p>

<p>New area is now available! From the travel page in the Gnawnia region you can now reach "The festive comet"! (open to all hunter ranks). All of the seasonal mice have come out of hibernation now that the comet has struck. They will stay with the comet until it melts before returning back to hibernation until the next time.</p>

<p>These festive mice love to collect the various items brought to gnawnia by the comet. They are used to make their special gingerbread homes as well as tasty treats that these mice find completely irresistible!</p>

<p>The Digby scientists have also sent various recovery teams to the site, gathering and researching all of the newly discovered wonders. They are making these items available for you to send to friends and have come up with a pretty ingenious recipe already with more on the way!</p>

<p>Quote from Timmy, lead Digby Reasearcher, "These new planks of gingerbread are quite astonishing! Incredibly strong and resilient! Also quite tasty, flavorful and rich in aroma! Smashing these planks into smaller, more manageable pieces creates the perfect treat for the holidays!"</p>

<p>The scientists also believe, given enough time, that they should be able to use this new "gingerbread", as well as including some of the other festive items, to capture the essence of the holiday and create some most interesting trap components!</p>

<p>Some of the regular inhabitants of Gnawnia have been seen adorning themselves with the debris from the comet, almost instinctually, unable to resist their sparkle and shine. Proudly parading themselves for all to see, can you catch them all?</p>

<p>Happy Holiday Hunting!</p>

<p>Facebook will be making a series of changes over the next month, one of which is getting rid of notifications. Facebook is adding some functionality to try and fill the gap left by lack of notifications.</p>

<p>- application to user notifications are being removed all together. They are allowing you to optionally provide an email address for the game to send messages to. This is the prompt that some people are seeing. We have no idea about why the message is saying restraunt city and are looking into it.</p>

<p>Facebook will be phasing in the new changes over the next month or so. The email opt-in is the first step. you can see a list of all the changes they are planning at http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Developer_Roadmap</p>

<p>We will making some changes to things to accommodate for the facebook changes in the coming weeks and will provide more detail about how exactly (if at all) the changes will affect game play. We don't agree with all of the changes facebook is making but unfortunately don't have any control over it. We will by trying to ensure the changes are as minimally disruptive as possible.</p>

<blockquote>

<p>Hello everyone!</p>

<p>Tomorrow (Tuesday, November 10) the game will be down for maintenance starting at 11am EST until 6pm EST. A countdown timer will appear at the top of every page showing approximately when the maintenance will start.</p>

<p>The planned maintenance is to perform a significant hardware upgrade to the servers running the game. The new hardware will allow more hunters to work for the King and fight off the mouse invasion!</p>

<p>You will not be able to access MouseHunt during the maintenance period. Be aware that if you are participating in a tournament all teams will have their multiplier reset during the downtime.</p>

<p>During downtime a splash screen will appear directing players to the [http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=10337532241 application's about page] where we will be posting updates as the server maintenance progresses. For those curious about how the maintenance is going, we'll be sure to post small progress updates to keep everyone in the loop. If you are a fan of MouseHunt these updates should appear on your homepage.</p>

<p>As most hunters have no doubt noticed by now Ronza has left the Kingdom. She wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome and hoped the stowaway Rockstars that arrived along with her didn't cause too much trouble.</p>

<p>A few Rockstars still seem to be partying around the Kingdom. If you have some Rockforth cheese left you may just be able to attract one of the few remaining Rockstars to your trap. The remaining Rockstar mice still have Ronza's Satchels of Surprize!</p>

THE SPRING EGG HUNT HAS BEGUN!

19 March 2024

Eggsplore and Eggsperience the Season!
New Eggs and New Rewards!

Spring Forward into another Egg-Packed Season!

To get started, you'll need a special egg-finding piece of equipment called an Eggscavator. If you do not already own one, you can claim one for free from the Spring Egg Hunt heads-up display. So grab yourself an Eggscavator and get ready for an eggsceptional season!

Eggstra Fondue: A Decadent Delight from Lady Laura!

Lady Laura, the esteemed chocolatier, has outdone herself this year with an exquisite addition to her culinary repertoire: Eggstra Fondue. This divine chocolate fondue crafted with a celestial symphony of flavor and texture promises an indulgent gustatory experience like no other!

An Eggstra Important Note

The Eggstra ingredient used in Eggstra Charms and Eggstra Charge Charms from previous Egg Hunts has gone stale. These charms can be smashed with the Hunter's Hammer to reactivate the Eggstra ingredient and convert them into Eggstra Fondue!

Eggstra Fondue is NOT safe for consumption and should be handled with protective equipment.

Return the Chocolatonium to Lady Laura to unlock the shelves in her Chocolate Shop and she'll show her gratitude by presenting you with special, one-time rewards for unlocking each shelf. Once a shelf has been unlocked, you'll be able to purchase the items on that shelf with Chocolatonium anytime during the event.

The Journey for the M1000 has begun!

Lady Laura has an extra special surprise this year! Unlocking the final shelf in her Chocolate Shop will reward the M1000 Team Research Expedition Scroll Case.

Completing this challenging treasure map with up to four friends is the first step towards hunting the M1000 mouse when it activates on April 16, 2024.

Inside the M1000 Team treasure chest, you'll find another, much shorter scroll case that can only be completed alone.

Completing the M1000 Solo Pursuit Treasure Map will reward the only cheese powerful enough to attract the M1000: Thousandth Draft Derby Cheese!

You will be able to use this valuable new cheese starting April 16, 2024 when the M1000 will be activated in the Table of Contents!

Catching the M1000 will reward the map piece for the upcoming School of Sorcery as well as a powerful new aura: the Millenniaura!

The M1000 Team Expedition maps are permanent new additions to the game! Hunters can hold onto their scroll cases to complete them later and will be able to purchase additional M1000 Team Scroll Cases from the Cartographer in the upcoming School of Sorcery.

Spring Mice and Spring Eggs

The Chocolatonium has driven the spring event mice into such a frenzy that you can find these mice EVERYWHERE in the Kingdom! They're so abundant that you do not need special cheese to attract them. In fact, you don't need any cheese at all!

The spring event mice all come exclusively from bonus hunts meaning they'll occasionally wander into your trap without consuming cheese or charms and without affecting any area gameplay progression. The spring mice will always drop Chocolatonium when caught.

In the midst of this Chocolatonium frenzy, some special mice have relocated to new, permanent homes within Gnawnia. Certain mice with a history of love and heartache are waiting to be discovered among a few different locations in the kingdom, and may be the key to finding one of the new eggs…

New Year, New Eggs!

There are 11 new eggs to find! Can you decipher their hints and find them to collect their bonus loot? Remember, you'll need your trusty Eggscavator to find them so make sure you pick one up before you head out!

The Eggsweeper Mini-Game Has Returned!

HOW TO PLAY: There are 10 eggs hidden somewhere in the field and you need to reveal them all to earn rank-specific rewards!

These eggs will contain loot appropriate for areas in the Kingdom tied to hunter ranks, now including the Bountiful Beanstalk in the Tier 5 Egg (Archduke/Archduchess and up).

As of April 16, mice will no longer drop Chocolatonium and eggs will no longer be found in the Kingdom.

As of April 23, any Chocolatonium that remains in a hunter's inventory will decay into nothingness.

As of April 30, The Eggsweeper Mini-Game will close.

Make sure to spend it all at the Chocolate Shop while you can!
