Relationship of Weight and Loot

It appears that the amounts of cheese Black Widows drop depend on their weight (the more weight, the more cheese).

Most of the time, that is the case, but I've had catches that contradict that statement. The 4 oz. Black Widow I caught dropped fewer SB+ compared to my 3 oz. catch. Also, the difference between the 9 oz. Black Widow I caught and the 7 oz. you caught is just 1 SB+. Makes you kind of wonder how many an 8 oz. would drop. --Mikeyco 17:36, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

I sounded the Hunter’s Horn.
I was successful in my hunt! I caught a 9 oz. Black Widow mouse from the Bazaar worth 472 points and 15 gold.
The mouse also dropped the following loot:
29 pieces of super brie cheese.
12:27pm tomorrow
I checked my trap and found that I had caught a mouse! I caught a 3 oz. Black Widow mouse from the Bazaar worth 478 points and 13 gold.
The mouse also dropped the following loot:
10 pieces of super brie cheese.
12:48am tomorrow
I checked my trap and found that I had caught a mouse! I caught a 4 oz. Black Widow mouse from the Bazaar worth 477 points and 13 gold.
The mouse also dropped the following loot:
7 pieces of super brie cheese.
If the Monster loot drops I was researching off the wiki is any indicator, I believe the loot is based on a fixed value which scales up according to weight, but on top of which is added a randomizer that will adjust the numbers slightly up or down. Basically, very similar to our King's Rewards which is random but which in general always scales up with rank. -- Grexx 17:43, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
It might be difficult to pinpoint the exact values for them unless we get some more logs on Black Widows caught. Even having 3 or 4 catches within 1 oz. of each other can be pretty useful and may be enough to get some concrete data. --Mikeyco 18:27, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
