Welcome to the MouseHunt Wiki, where users contribute their knowledge of the MouseHunt world for the benefit of the community.

MouseHunt is a popular game in which players, referred to as hunters, catch mice with a variety of traps and cheeses to earn experience points and virtual gold through passive gameplay. From time to time the developers add new locations and mice as well as sponsor thousands of dollars for periodic giveaways and tournaments. MouseHunt was developed by HitGrab Inc. as a Facebook application and released to a small group for beta testing in early 2008. On 7 March 2008, MouseHunt was officially released to the general public. Just nine months later, MouseHunt earned its creators a $250,000 development grant from Facebook and the game continues to grow in popularity.

This wiki exists to inform and educate the community of MouseHunters and those who have an interest in the MouseHunt world and its intricacies.

A reminder that browser extensions, plugins, and scripts are not officially endorsed by the game and it’s recommended players do not use them. Anything automating a game action or modifying how you interact with the game is against the game’s rules and may trigger the game’s automated cheat detection that could result in your account being restricted or disabled.

The Folklore Forest Finale has begun! Thanks to the tireless efforts from hunters over the last several years, the Mythweaver's final plan has been deciphered. It involves two new, recently discovered areas in the Folklore Forest: the Afterword Acres and the Epilogue Falls! The King is calling upon all hunters ranked Viceroy and above to venture into these mysterious new locations and gather the resources they will need to put a stop to the Mythweaver once and for all. The End Begins Here If you haven't already earned the Mythweaver's Guide to World Domination then visit the Draconic Depths Cartographer to purchase it for 2,000 Dragon's Breath Opals and 1,000,000 Gold. Owning this book will unlock access to the Afterword Acres and Epilogue Falls. Fight the Blight and Save the Infinitree Your adventure begins in the Afterword Acres where you must take on the daunting task of fending off the terrible blight that has gripped that once fertile land. Use your trusty droids to harvest Literary Logs from the Infinitree and then carve them into Poetic Planks. Be warned that an invasive species has taken over that place so you'll need to fight them off and reduce their terrible blight in order to make your droids more efficient. Arm your best Tactical trap and venture into the woods! Start Your Adventure Here Ride the Rapids and Defeat the Falls Guardian Use the Poetic Planks you carved in the Afterword Acres to build barrels for riding the rapids in the Epilogue Falls! These rushing waters are teeming with useful loot but also dangerous, aquatic mice so arm your best Hydro trap before embarking. Battle against the forceful currents to reach the waterfall at the end where a powerful guardian awaits you! Continue Your Adventure Here Unravel the Mythweaver's Plot The King's best folklore scholars are still trying to find the Mythweaver's exact whereabouts but so far they've been able to determine one very important clue: the Mythweaver's minions will have a taste for Plotting Paneer Cheese. Plot Hooks are the key ingredient to making this devious delicacy and they can be found floating near the waterfall at the Epilogue Falls. Therefore, the scholars are recommending that hunters begin collecting Plot Hooks in anticipation of their eventual discovery of a third, upcoming location known as the Conclusion Cliffs. Master the Metaphor Metaphor Morsels can be found in the Afterword Acres and on the shore of the Epilogue Falls when hunting with any standard bait. Use them to create the marvelous Metaphor Manchego Cheese which has unique and lucrative effects in both areas!
