Newbie help

Personally, I really like the tabulated version for Novices. Its short and to the point! But for Masters, maybe the point to point discussion is needed. My version sounds a lot like a walk-through and I really prefer yours! Shinnok 06:42, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I also didn't like how the Master section came out. It just seems like in the beginning it makes sense to break it down by Hunter's title, but later on it is more sensible to break down by area. I read a bit of yours, and it has useful stuff, but yeah kinda wordy. That's what I was trying to do with the table -- to make it concise. Camomiletea 03:02, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Female Mice

I actually like that section! Was quite good going over the mice and spotting their totally-feminine like nature. But, I'd think the Champion Mouse from Elub is also Female. Do you think so too? --J3W3L 12:12, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I agree. Added Champion in. Also I haven't gone through the images of all the new festive mice to see if there are any female... -- Camomiletea 16:36, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Looks to me like the Dancer might be female, too… big feet, but a female costume. :) --GoBecky 11:32, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I wonder about the Black Mage as well. It might be more androgynous than anything, but I sort of get a feminine feel from it. Oh, and what about the Terra and Zephyr mice while I'm at it? It's more their outfits than the mice themselves, but my first thought is female when I look at 'em. —MearsMan talk 19:55, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I haven't looked at new mice pictures yet (except a few that appeared in some hunter's profile pics already)... What do you guys think about Trailblazer? The clothing is suggestive around the breast area, and it has a purse... -- camomiletea 02:09, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
By the way, in future, feel free to add! -- camomiletea 23:15, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Gauntlet Stuff, and Mice in General

+1 on the table — precisely what I had in mind (although I was going to use the styling from Ancient Potion — but color is a small quibble). GMTA!

I also like that you're keeping track of the tier "themes" (toy, thief, etc). I think this is important.

I don't know if it's something we should do now or wait till the whole Gauntlet has been released, but I think we should do some sub-categorization of the Gauntlet mice, especially since it appears that the different levels will have different power weaknesses, etc. (Actually, this is related to an idea I had that would allow us to do away with that monstrous an inefficient table of mice at Cheat Sheet: create subcategories for each location, and then, just by linking to the overall category page, it'll be a snap to see where each mouse can be found — not to mention the locations will be listed at the bottom of the mouse's page, as categories, although that could be suppressed.) Anyway, I think we should have a category for each tier — "King's Gauntlet Tier 1 Mice," etc — and either make those subcats directly under Category:Valor Mice, or create an intermediate category just called "King's Gauntlet Mice" and put that under Valor. (The late approach seems sensible only if a new region is added to Valor; for now, Valor = KG.)

So the category structure would look like:

Mice - Valor Mice - - KG T1 Mice - - KG Tier 2 Mice - - etc - Gnawnia Mice - - ToG - - Meadow - - etc

And so forth. What do you think? Id be happy to take this on — it tickles my inner OCD — but not sure where to propose it, so thought I'd bring it to you. --GoBecky 15:01, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

I think I've used the same colors, except for the last column (simply because Ancient Potion has one fewer columns). Yeah, I figured we can tweak the colors later. :)
Mhmm, I'm hoping we would be able to use the tier themes information somewhere, maybe in the strategy section of the King's Gauntlet.
I'm going to move the discussion about categorization over to Talk:Mice#Gauntlet Stuff, and Mice in General, so that more people may participate. My initial thoughts is that having subcategories for Gauntlet mice might be nice. Not sure about having the subcategories for each location; it seems like some mice would have just tens of subcategories in that case, e.g. Black Widow. And I'm pretty sure that B.Rossow who created the mice table on the Cheat Sheet will protest if we try to get rid of it ;) -- camomiletea 04:35, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Gauntlet Potions

Hey, I noticed that you've been working on a table for the Gauntlet Potions in your sandbox. I like they way it's looking so far, but I just thought I'd point out that the Tier 4 potions convert SB+, Brie, and Swiss instead of SB+, Swiss and Marble like the Tier 2 and Tier 3 potions. I guess that throws off the format a bit. :P I know you might already be aware of this, but I thought I'd say something in case you didn't know so you could start brainstorming new ideas. Anyway, good luck with it all, and let me know if you need any help! —MearsMan talk 00:22, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

I see the conundrum in having some potions using certain cheese while others don't. I've come up with an alternative solution over at User:GoBecky/Sandbox#Gauntlet Potion Table. Basically, I gave each of the 4 cheeses a column and just put a dash (which could also be "n/a" or just blank) for Tiers that don't use a given cheese. It's wider, but to my eyes a bit easier to read, since each column is the same cheese the whole way down. --GoBecky 18:43, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Amplifier

I think you have to adjust the text how percentage is gained because it's not true with Spring and Fall Familiar since they give the most percent (6%) but don't give the most points. ____m. 15:50, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
