It requires a minimum rank of Recruit to enter. Mice are unable to steal gold or points in this location but may steal cheese if not caught. |

+ | In 2013, the factory opened on 25 March 2013. Initially, hunters were presented with a Heads-up Display with 10 fuzzy egg images, and a message that the Eggscavator needed recalibration. After a hunter collects 9 eggs, the Egg Scrambler mouse became available, allowing the hunter to collect the final Antique Golden Egg and finish the recalibration, with the following message left in the Hunter's Journal:
+ | |||
+ | :That's the last egg!<br>
+ | :Now that I've recalibrated my Eggscavator, I will be able to hunt hidden eggs all across Gnawnia!<br>
+ | :I can now use Eggscavator Charge Charms to charge my Eggscavator for a chance to gather new Low, Medium, and High Charge eggs from mice. The higher the charge, the better the Charge Egg!
+ | |||
+ | The 2013 event ended on 22 April; while the Chocolate Factory remained open as a location so that hunters could purchase Dark Chocolate Charms from the Charm Shoppe, it was no longer possible to attract mice without moving elsewhere.
+ | |||
+ | In 2012, the factory opened on 4 April 2012, and hunters had to collect Paint for the first ten Eggs before unlocking the rest of the eggs of the season.
+ | |||
+ | On 19 April 2012, the factory closed, and was replaced by a Vacant Lot, but the Charm Shoppe was still available for obtaining more event charms, and Bonus Eggs could still be found throughout the rest of the kingdom. On 23 April 2012, the event ended, and hunters remaining in the Vacant Lot were transported to the Meadow with this message in their Hunter's Journal:
+ | :The Vacant Lot is currently closed. The King's Guards kindly escorted me to the Meadow so that I may resume the hunt.
In 2011, to enter this location hunters had to find 10 different eggs scattered throughout the Kingdom. The location had the following description: | In 2011, to enter this location hunters had to find 10 different eggs scattered throughout the Kingdom. Spring is here again, and the King has ordered the chocolate factory back to full production. Not even the dastardly Hare Razor can foul things up this year!
And yet something's not quite right... No matter how many eggs are produced, none can be found! To complicate matters, a frightening new mouse has been seen prowling around with a confusing contraption. It's time for Hunters to investigate!
Description and Requirements
The Chocolate Factory is a special location first available during the Spring Egg Hunt 2011 and again during 2012 and 2013. It requires a minimum rank of Recruit to enter. Mice are unable to steal gold or points in this location but may steal cheese if not caught.
In 2013, the factory opened on 25 March 2013.
- That's the last egg!
- Now that I've recalibrated my Eggscavator, I will be able to hunt hidden eggs all across Gnawnia!
- I can now use Eggscavator Charge Charms to charge my Eggscavator for a chance to gather new Low, Medium, and High Charge eggs from mice. The higher the charge, the better the Charge Egg!
The 2013 event ended on 22 April; while the Chocolate Factory remained open as a location so that hunters could purchase Dark Chocolate Charms from the Charm Shoppe, it was no longer possible to attract mice without moving elsewhere.
In 2012, the factory opened on 4 April 2012, and hunters had to collect Paint for the first ten Eggs before unlocking the rest of the eggs of the season.
On 19 April 2012, the factory closed, and was replaced by a Vacant Lot, but the Charm Shoppe was still available for obtaining more event charms, and Bonus Eggs could still be found throughout the rest of the kingdom. On 23 April 2012, the event ended, and hunters remaining in the Vacant Lot were transported to the Meadow with this message in their Hunter's Journal:
- The Vacant Lot is currently closed. The King's Guards kindly escorted me to the Meadow so that I may resume the hunt.
In 2011, to enter this location hunters had to find 10 different eggs scattered throughout the Kingdom. The location had the following description:
- To celebrate the arrival of spring, the King has constructed a new chocolate factory south of the castle to produce thousands of scrumptious chocolate eggs for hunters to munch upon! It was not long, however, until a villainous mouse known as Hare Razor picked up the milk-chocolatey scent and took over the factory to carry out his own devious plan.
Shops
These are the shops that can be found in the Chocolate Factory:
- Cheese Shoppe — 2011, 2012
- Charm Shoppe — 2011, 2012, 2013

Hunting Strategy
Spring Egg Hunt 2013
2013 Hunting tips by Larry
The Chocolate Factory is open again, and this time the eggs being produced are at the request of the King! The unfortunate part is that the Eggscavator is unable to pick up the frequencies of the eggs being produced!
Maybe... I know! Track down the original 10 eggs in the factory in order to re-tune the Eggscavator! Hopefully with careful calibration, the Eggscavator can pick up the scent of the eggs again so that hunters can find and complete their collections!
Good luck and get crackin'!
Spring Egg Hunt 2012
As in the previous year, any standard cheese can be used in this location regardless of charms. Only by using Dark Chocolate Charms can the more valuable mice (which generally have a weakness to Arcane and Shadow weapons) be attracted. The less valuable mice can be caught with Physical and other weapon types.
The Coco Commander and Eggsplosive Scientist mice can only be attracted with standard cheese, whereas the Egg Painter and Sinister Egg Painter can only be encountered by using Marshmallow Monterey cheese.
The Hare Razer and Eggscavator mice can only be attracted after painting the ten eggs and by baiting Marshmallow Monterey cheese.
2012 Hunting tips by Larry
The Chocolate Factory is open again, and this time the eggs being produced are at the request of the King! The unfortunate part is that nobody can find anything that rolls off the conveyor belt...
Maybe... I know! Find paint from the mice in the factory and make your own eggs. Perhaps if you create a valuable enough egg, you'll be able to attract the source of the problem and defeat him.
Once you do, you may uncover the secret behind where the eggs have gone and how to track them down!
Spring Egg Hunt 2011
Any standard cheese can be used in this location whether charms are used or not. Using Dark Chocolate Charms will attract the more valuable mice which generally have a weakness to Arcane and Shadow weapons. Otherwise, the less valuable mice are attracted and can be caught with Physical and other weapon types.
The Hare Razer can only be attracted by baiting Marshmallow Monterey cheese. Additionally, Dark Chocolate Charms significantly increase the encounter rate of Hare Razer and the other three event mice. Thus in order to take advantage of the increased encounter rate hunters without an Arcane weapon may still choose to use Dark Chocolate Charms when hunting with Marshmallow Monterey and equip their strongest or luckiest weapon.
2011 Hunting tips by Larry
Don't let the tasty look of the walls fool you, evil is afoot at this chocolate factory!
Some sinister mice have taken over the factory and have been producing chocolate eggs to smuggle hunting supplies away from Gnawnia. The eggs are coated with a candy so hard it's near unbreakable!
Keep hunting, I'm sure the secret of how to crack open your eggs will be here somewhere...
