A devastating machine created with an incredibly rare rib of a terrifying dragon, housed in a heat-resistant shell. It draws power from the Kalor'ignis Rib stored within, focusing it in its centre, building a giant bubble of Draconic energy that expands outwards. Once it has expanded beyond critical mass, the outer blades begin to spin at an incredible velocity, shaping the energy from spherical to cylindrical and finally to a sharpened point. Once the formed mass of energy comes into contact with the point of the firing pin, it explodes forwards in an awesome beam of Draconic energy.

Obtained Via

The Dragon Slayer Cannon is not sold by any Trapsmith. It can only be crafted given the proper ingredients.

When first reaching Queso Geyser, the trapsmith will have a message:

"With the appearance of Kalor'ignis, one of the legendary Dragonic mice thought only to be a myth, the Trapsmith has been convinced that there remains an as of yet undiscovered and extremely powerful trap. She appears to be looking for an especially rare trap component that will help her unlock some of the mystery behind this trap.

Find this fabled rib, sourced from Kalor'ignis himself, and return it to the Trapsmith in order to help her discover its secrets."

After obtaining a Kalor'Ignis Rib, this message will change to:

"Upon showing the Kalor'ignis Rib to the Trapsmith, she excitedly leads you to a back room and reveals an ancient tapestry in a protective glass case. It looks incredibly old and severely worn.

In one corner of the tattered document, barely visible, you notice a shape that resembles the rib. This must be some sort of blueprint for a trap!

The fabric itself is a heavy material with thread made from precious metals intricately stitched through its surface. Detailed drawings and hardly legible text in a language you cannot decipher cover the surface of what barely remains of the ravaged blueprint.

After some very frantic gesturing at various obscured drawings and text, the Trapsmith shares her theory about how to construct the trap's initial frame out of materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure.

I should experiment with the items used in the construction of every cork type to see if I can put together this so-called chassis that the Trapsmith needs to begin her work..."

This paragraph hints towards the crafting of the first step of the Dragon Slayer Cannon: the Dragon Slayer Cannon Chassis

Imbuing the Chassis

After crafting the Chassis, the message in the Queso Geyser trapsmith will change again. Now it will read:

"Before even revealing that you have the completed Dragon Slayer Cannon Chassis, the Trapsmith waves you over and urges you into the black room.

She excitedly takes the chassis and looks it over thoroughly while also consulting the tapestry. After several minutes of incoherent mumbling and scrutinizing of the chassis under a blinding head-lamp, the Trapsmith returns the incomplete trap to you and points to the strange metallic text on the ancient fabric.

She reveals the text implies that the chassis must now become imbued with "An Impossibly Sharp Blade as Bright as it is Loud", some "Glowing Ore From Deep Below" and something that is "Endlessly Ablaze but Does Not Burn". That is all she is able to decipher from the text."

This points towards imbuing the chassis like this:

Formula: Imbued Dragon Slayer Cannon Chassis
Item Qty Cost (Each) Source
Dragonslayer Cannon Chassis 1 18,000,000
Ful'Mina's Tooth 1 0
Ember Root 2 0
Ember Stone 2 0
Total 18,000,000 gold
Recipe costs represent Shoppe prices only. The cost of items obtained through other sources will affect the total cost of crafting.

Building the Dragon Slayer Cannon

After imbuing the chassis, the trapsmith will have another message for you:

"As you finish imbuing the Dragon Slayer Cannon Chassis, you notice that when you bring it close to the Kalor'ignis Rib, they seem to resonate with a dangerous energy.

Upon revealing this strange interaction to the wide-eyed Trapsmith, she states how imperative she believes it will be to combine the correct components in order to safely control its incredible energy and complete the trap.

Referring to the tattered tapestry, you and the Trapsmith theorize what the final components could be. The strange diagram seems to be referring to something that has the capability to redirect incredible ammounts of power... Or is it perhaps suggesting that it requires a large number of items that can absorb energy?

The Trapsmith states that you'll need to conduct experiments involving the imbued chassis, the rib, and other Draconic equipment and supplies you've found along the way."

Formula: Dragon Slayer Cannon
Item Qty Cost (Each) Source
Imbued Dragon Slayer Cannon Chassis 1 18,000,000
Kalor'ignis Rib 1 0
Chrome Storm Wrought Ballista Parts 1 13,700,000
