- "Acolyte" redirects here. For other uses, see Acolyte (disambiguation).
The Acolyte Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Acolyte Realm. They are known to drop Mysterious Box.
Preferred Cheese
Acolyte mice have been found to be especially attracted to Runic cheese, to the point that any other kind of cheese will simply not suffice.
Hunting Strategy
Forgotten type traps are the only weapons of normal effectiveness against Acolyte mice (the rest being ineffective). As such, the Ancient Box Trap is currently the only trap that works against Acolyte mice, being a Forgotten type weapon.
Alternatively, Hunters who do not have the Ancient Box Trap but still would like to capture an Acolyte Mouse may consider having the luckiest trap setup available. This was the strategy Hunters used before the Ancient Box Trap became available.
History and Trivia
- Acolyte mice were first discovered after a glitch occured while the developers were clearing out the account of a known scammer.
- On the Dojo header image, it seems that the two mice standing guard are Acolytes.
- Acolyte mice caught before 25 March 2009 did not drop Mysterious Boxes.
- On 30 September 2009, Acolytes began to drop Frozen Scrolls alongside Mysterious Boxes. Hunters with previously unopened Mysterious Boxes were credited a Frozen Scroll, while those with a Frozen Scroll were given another Mysterious Box.
- In MouseHunt 3.0, Acolytes no longer drop a Frozen Scroll. Instead the Mysterious Box now always gives a Frozen Scroll plus one random item.
