Samurai mice were released on 10 October 2008, accompanied by Archer and Kung Fu mice. On 11 December 2008, they began to drop Satchels of Gold worth 500 gold as additional loot.
A concept mouse on the Hunter's Reward Weekend poster bears a close resemblance to Samurai mice.
