Luck is a trap stat that gives hunters a chance of catching a mouse even if it would have normally gotten away. Aside from power, a trap's luck rating also provides a chance to catch a mouse purely from luck. Luck does not affect the attraction of mice.
Luck scales nonlinearly, meaning that it is more effective as the amount of luck increases. For example, 8 luck is more than twice as effective as 4 luck.
Changes in catch rate due to luck are not reflected in the trap effectiveness meter.
Increasing Luck
Donating will provide a hunter with a Lucky Golden Shield, granting +7 luck, regardless of location or trap equipped.
Various Events have offered increased luck.
- Bonus Luck Weekends: +5 luck
- Great Winter Hunt 2013:+6 luck from building the Snow Cannon and Ice Armoury, while at the Festive Snow Fort during a Tournament
- MouseHunt's Sixth Birthday: +5 luck from building the Sound System at the Dance Hall
- Valentine's 2015: +13 luck
- Royal Challenge: +16 luck
- Lunar New Year up to +50 luck, depending on candle height
