Luck is a trap attribute that gives the player a chance of catching a mouse even if it would have normally gotten away. It is separate from the power of a trap. The higher the total luck value of a trap, the better the odds. It is generally believed that, because power works much more often than luck does, hunters should not neglect significant differences in power in favor of boosting luck.  The possible exception is when specifically trying to catch very strong mice such as the Master of the Dojo and Monster

Luck is a trap stat that gives hunters a chance of catching a mouse even if it would have normally gotten away. Aside from power, a trap's luck rating also provides a chance to catch a mouse purely from luck. Luck does not affect the attraction of mice.

Luck scales nonlinearly, meaning that it is more effective as the amount of luck increases. For example, 8 luck is more than twice as effective as 4 luck.

Changes in catch rate due to luck are not reflected in the trap effectiveness meter.

Increasing Luck

Donating will provide a hunter with a Lucky Golden Shield, granting +7 luck, regardless of location or trap equipped.

Various Events have offered increased luck.
