A base made out of salt! Besides causing mild irritation to mouse paws, the salt also seems quite excellent at keeping bait fresh.




The Dehydration Base is the first and, currently, the only crafted base. It is often used interchangeably with the Polar Base in locations where its higher attraction bonus might prove more beneficial than the sacrificed power.

Purchasing Info

The Dehydration Base is not sold by any Trapsmith, thus it is non-refundable. It can only be crafted given the proper ingredients.

Note that a player may attempt crafting this base once they reach the level of Journeyman but there is a chance that the crafting will fail. If this happens, the player will lose all ingredients and have to repurchase them. Therefore, it is suggested that players wait until they reach the level of Master (or above) before crafting this base.

History and Trivia

The Dehydration Base was introduced on 4 December 2008 with the release of the Dehydration Base Blueprints in the Harbour General Store.
