Revision as of 21:33, 22 October 2011

Trap Skins were first introduced into the game in November 2010 together with the start of the King's Giveaway. These skins do not affect the stats of the weapons to which they are applied and only change their appearances.

Removable Skins

The following is a table of the available Trap Skins which can be applied to weapons, and can be bought at the marketplace or obtained via donating at any time. When a compatible trap is armed, an orange "Change Trap Skin" button will appear above the trap selector. A popup will appear upon clicking the orange button, allowing hunters to toggle between the original and skinned versions.<br\> This type of skin was made available after the overhauling of the skin system in September 2011, which changed the way in which skins function.

Skin Name Weapon Applied To Cost for Donation
Extremely Enraged Rhinobot Skin Enraged Rhinobot $3.00
Jet-Black ACRONYM Skin Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery $3.00
Larry's First Move Skin Zugzwang's First Move $3.00

Event Removable Skins

The following is a table of the available Trap Skins which can be applied to weapons but can only be purchased during specific events. After the event ends, the skins are still available for trade on the Marketplace.

Skin Name Weapon Applied To Cost for Donation Cost at Trapsmith
Costumed Ambush Skin Ambush N/A 7 Halloween Candies
Count Sentinel Skin Sandtail Sentinel $3.00 9 Halloween Candies
Zugzwang's Night-Mare Skin Zugzwang's First Move $3.00 8 Halloween Candies

Blueprint Skins

Blueprint skins can be bought at the Prize Shoppe and the marketplace. Blueprint skins are applied to the weapon by crafting it with the smashed trap parts. Unlike removable trap skins, the process is irreversible and cannot be used to complete a few specific tasks in Library Assignments. Weapons with blueprint skins appear on the Hunter's Profile as a different item from their original counterparts.<br\> This type of skin is the original type of skin, and their in-game names were changed from "skins" to "blueprints" during the September 2011 overhaul.
