Build a barrel, ride the rapids, and journey into the falls!

Overview

Epilogue Falls is a hunting location in the Folklore Forest region.

Hunters require a minimum Rank of Viceroy and the Mythweaver's Guide to World Domination to access Epilogue Falls.

Gameplay Mechanics

The hunter is tasked with traversing the falls in this area. The fall is divided into 4 distinct phases: The Shore, The Rapids, Within the Waterfall, and The Hidden Grotto.

The Shore

When hunters enter Epilogue Falls they start in this phase. They can gather Metaphor Morsel while hunting with Standard Cheese.

The Rapids

To get into the rapids, the hunter must build a barrel with Poetic Planks, gathered from Afterword Acres, and other materials dropped by mice in Epilogue Falls

Here, the current pushes the hunter back and the cheese gives the speed to move forward. The sum of speed by current and speed by cheese will give the net distance traveled per hunt. If the speed given by cheese is higher than the zone's current, hunter moves forward; otherwise they will get pushed back.

After building the barrel, hunter can traverse the rapids. The rapids is divided into multiple zones that have their own loot and quantity. The suffix Sparse, Common, and Abundant denote the quantity of loot dropped in each zone. Using Condensed Creativity will only double loot dropped and has no effect on barrel's speed. The zones are not queued at random. Their order of appearing and current speed is fixed. Following table lists the order in which they appear

Hunters can also activate Jet Boost to move forward 20m per boost by spending Poetic Planks. The amount of Poetic Planks needed for each boost is listed in the table below. At the end of the run, the cost of boosting is reset.

Within the Waterfall

Every cheese, usable in Epilogue Falls, can attract the mouse here but only Symbolic Sirene will push the hunter forward. Hunters cannot activate the Jet Boost here and will not get pushed back by the current even if the HUD mentions negative speed for the cheese. The current speed in this zone is 49m/hunt. Length of Waterfall is 10m extending from 990m to 999m. When a hunter enters The Waterfall, following journal entry appears

My droids have entered the Waterfall! They can no longer be pushed backwards by the current and can no longer use their Jet Boost but they'll need all the speed they can muster if they're going to push through this!

The Hidden Grotto

The Hidden Grotto is a hidden section beyond the waterfall. The water here is still. So, hunters can neither move forward nor backwards here. When a hunters enter The Hidden Grotto, following journal entry appears

Behold the mighty and mysterious, Epilogue Falls!

Don't let the calm waters at the shore fool you, these rapids get more and more intense the closer you get to the waterfall.

Take those Poetic Planks you earned in the Afterword Acres and use them to build barrels so you can send your droids safely(ish) up the rapids.

While riding the rapids, your droids will be able to collect many kinds of lucrative loot from the many different zones leading up to the falls.

You'll need to use stronger cheeses to move your barrel faster with each catch and you'll need stronger barrels to survive long enough to eventually reach the falls.

There are rumours that an extremely powerful guardian is lurking inside the waterfall so if you can make it all the way there then be ready for an epic battle!

I wonder what that creature is guarding...

Adventure Book

Hunters can complete the Ride the Rapids and Defeat the Falls Guardian adventure in Epilogue Falls.

Location-Specific Effects

Rainbow Quill: Provides a chance to prevent getting pushed back by the current after failing to catch. Stacks with the Rainbow Diamond Refractor Base

  • When hunter fails to catch a mouse in Rapids, the base provides a chance to prevent backward movement because of the current. This stacks with the bonus provided by Rainbow Quill from Table of Contents
• Naughty List Printing Press Base or Folklore Printing Press Base
  • When the Hunter has at least 1 Prolific Printing Paper in their inventory, the base's stats are boosted to:
    • 4,500 Power
    • 35% Power Bonus
    • 35% Attraction Bonus
    • 57 Luck
  • Consumes 1 Prolific Printing Paper per hunt

• Baitkeep Charm - When going on a hunt with Baitkeep Charms armed, there is a chance that the charm will not be consumed and Bait will be instead
