The Sandtail Desert is a region released on 22 March 2011.
It consists of areas to the west of Whisker Woods and to the north of Hollow Heights.
There are eight known locations, although only five are shown at a time depending on whether the Living Garden is in normal or twisted reality:
- The Marching Flame has attacked and pillaged much of the Sandtail Desert and now their warpath is headed towards Gnawnia! Their battalions attack in waves and seem to endlessly march over the horizon. All that stands between them and conquering Gnawnia are the brave hunters who camp here.
- Rank requirement: Baron/Baroness
- Map piece: Sandtail Call to Arms

- 2 June 2011: The Muridae Market was released as a new hunting location in Sandtail Desert region.
- 14 November 2012: The Living Garden, Lost City, Sand Dunes, Twisted Garden, Cursed City, and Sand Crypts were released as new hunting locations in Sandtail Desert region.
- 12 May 2015: The Fungal Cavern was released as a new hunting location in Sandtail Desert region.
- 9 September 2015: The Fungal Cavern was moved to a new region, Hollow Heights.
To move to a new hunting location within the game, click on the TRAVEL button. The map will show all your unlocked locations, as well as any special considerations of note in a specific location. It will also show the minimum rank required to hunt in that location.
