The Tournament Hall is a location in the Valour region requiring a minimum rank of Apprentice to enter.
+
This many-storied tower is the King’s personal challenge to MouseHunters everywhere: anyone who can reach the top is among the kingdom’s elite. The King’s Gauntlet works on a tier system, with Hunters advancing to the next floor by hunting with cheese that they collect on the current floor. The Gauntlet is meant as a challenge for hunters of all skill levels, but in order to ascend to the very top, a Hero’s rank will come in handy.
Mice in the Tournament Hall will not steal points, gold, or cheese.
All Shops in the Tournament Hall require Tournament Tokens or MEGA Tournament Tokens to make purchases.
This location is built on top of the site of the former Snow Fortress, and during the gap between the Great Winter Hunt 2011 and when the hall was first opened, it was known as the Construction Yard.

King's Gauntlet is a location in the Valour region requiring a minimum rank of Hero and the King's Gauntlet Floorplan to enter. Mice in this location may steal points or gold (but not multiple pieces of cheese) if not captured.

Cheese Preference and Loot
+
The Gauntlet consists of eight tiers (also referred to as "floors" or "levels"). At each tier, hunters collect potions that imbue cheese capable of attracting mice on the next tier. Hunters need not actually travel between floors, but simply equip the cheese for for the tier they wish to hunt on.
Standard Cheese attracts most mice in the Tournament Hall.
SB will attract all mice in the Tournament Hall.

King's Gauntlet Mice
+
This section summarizes the information hunters need to know about Gauntlet mice:
+

+
* Theme: Each floor's mice are organized according to a thematic element. While this has no bearing on hunting, it can help hunters easily remember which floor a mouse can be found on.
+
* Bait preference: Mice on floors 2-8 require tier-specific cheese for successful hunts.
+
* Primary power type weakness: The mice on each floor are especially weak to a given trap power type, although this may not be the only power type that any tier of mice is vulnerable to.
+
* Loot: Every mouse breed on floors 1-7 is known to drop the potions required to hunt at the next tier.
+

+
Additionally, all mice in the Gauntlet are in the Gauntlet Gladiators mouse group. The point and gold values are listed below by tier; these increase at each floor.

Hunting Strategy
+
In the King's Gauntlet, the main objective is to reach Tier 8 and catch the Eclipse Mouse.
+
+
In order to do so, hunters have to acquire potions from mice of a lower tier (typically Tier 1), which can be imbued to give gauntlet cheese of the next tier. Hunters would then choose to imbue these potions with normal cheese or SB, depending on varying factors like tier number, cost of SB and whether the hunter prioritizes more on profit or progress. Unlike in other regions, hunters do not need to travel to progress to higher tiers. Instead, all hunters must do is to equip the appropriate cheese for the tier they wish to go after.
+
+
The mice on each tier have different weaknesses and difficulties, as such the best trap setup for each tier would be different as well. The general strategy is to maximize catch rate by following the primary weakness of the respective tier, although it is not strictly necessary as stronger traps that are very effective against that tier can also achieve perfect catch rate. For lower tiers where perfect catch rate can be easily attained, hunters may consider optimizing their trap's cheese effect and attraction bonus without reducing catch rate, so as to minimize wastage of cheese due to stales.
+
+
It has been claimed that increasing luck would increase potion drop rate per catch, but hunters should note that this claim has not been statistically proved nor disproved by empirical data.

Hunting tips by Larry
+
+
Why hello, Mousehunter! It looks like we’ll be ascending the King’s Gauntlet together!
+
+
Hunters have flocked in from all over the land to face the terrors, the wonders, and the challenges of the King’s Gauntlet. If you can make it to the top of this tall, tall tower, you will gain lots of loot, and you will be able to count yourself among the land’s elite.
+
+
Every Hunter starts on floor one, using any bait they wish. From then on, Hunters progress to the next floor by using potions collected on the previous floor to make special cheeses. There is no need to travel—just equip the right cheese to move to the next floor!
+
+
On each floor, the mice are weak to a different power type. If you get confused, the cheese descriptions may lend a hand. The further you go up the Gauntlet, the more difficult, and profitable, the mice become. Can you make it all the way to the top, and defeat the mysterious Eclipse Mouse?
+
+
Good luck, MouseHunter, and don’t get tired on the stairs!

The King's Tournament Hall contains various shoppes where you can exchange Tournament Tokens for hunting equipment and loot.

Description and Requirements

King's Gauntlet is a location in the Valour region requiring a minimum rank of Hero and the King's Gauntlet Floorplan to enter. Mice in this location may steal points or gold (but not multiple pieces of cheese) if not captured.

These are the shops that can be found in the King's Gauntlet:

King's Gauntlet Mice

This section summarizes the information hunters need to know about Gauntlet mice:

 • Theme: Each floor's mice are organized according to a thematic element. While this has no bearing on hunting, it can help hunters easily remember which floor a mouse can be found on.
 • Bait preference: Mice on floors 2-8 require tier-specific cheese for successful hunts.
 • Primary power type weakness: The mice on each floor are especially weak to a given trap power type, although this may not be the only power type that any tier of mice is vulnerable to.
 • Loot: Every mouse breed on floors 1-7 is known to drop the potions required to hunt at the next tier.

Additionally, all mice in the Gauntlet are in the Gauntlet Gladiators mouse group. The point and gold values are listed below by tier; these increase at each floor.

Tier 1

Hunting Strategy

In the King's Gauntlet, the main objective is to reach Tier 8 and catch the Eclipse Mouse.

In order to do so, hunters have to acquire potions from mice of a lower tier (typically Tier 1), which can be imbued to give gauntlet cheese of the next tier. Hunters would then choose to imbue these potions with normal cheese or SUPER|brie+, depending on varying factors like tier number, cost of SUPER|brie+ and whether the hunter prioritizes more on profit or progress. Unlike in other regions, hunters do not need to travel to progress to higher tiers. Instead, all hunters must do is to equip the appropriate cheese for the tier they wish to go after.

It has been claimed that increasing luck would increase potion drop rate per catch, but hunters should note that this claim has not been statistically proved nor disproved by empirical data.

Hunting tips by Larry

Why hello, Mousehunter! It looks like we’ll be ascending the King’s Gauntlet together!

Hunters have flocked in from all over the land to face the terrors, the wonders, and the challenges of the King’s Gauntlet. If you can make it to the top of this tall, tall tower, you will gain lots of loot, and you will be able to count yourself among the land’s elite.

Every Hunter starts on floor one, using any bait they wish. From then on, Hunters progress to the next floor by using potions collected on the previous floor to make special cheeses. There is no need to travel—just equip the right cheese to move to the next floor!

On each floor, the mice are weak to a different power type. If you get confused, the cheese descriptions may lend a hand. The further you go up the Gauntlet, the more difficult, and profitable, the mice become. Can you make it all the way to the top, and defeat the mysterious Eclipse Mouse?

Good luck, MouseHunter, and don’t get tired on the stairs!
