The Living Garden is a location in the Sandtail Desert region requiring a minimum rank of Baron/Baroness and the Living Garden Key to enter.
Hunters must rebuild the various shops found in Muridae Market before purchases can be made there. Building materials are dropped by the mice found in Muridae Market.

Heads-Up Display
The Muridae Market HUD allows Hunters to Rebuild the shops and then access them.

It also tracks the Hunter's supply of:

*Limestone Bricks

*Coconut Timbers

*Shards of Glass

*Molten Glass

*Papyrus

Rebuilding the Muridae Market Shops
The shops in Muridae Market must be rebuilt before making purchases. <br/>

Hunters may obtain refunds on items found in the Muridae Market shops without rebuilding them.

Order of Rebuilding
The Cheese Shoppe and the General Store can be rebuilt with items looted directly from mice in Muridae Market.

The Charm Shoppe and the Trapsmith both require Molten Glass to rebuild.  Molten Glass can only be obtained through the General Store.
+
After capturing Carmine the Apothecary in the Living Garden, the hunter is transferred to a different version of the location, the Twisted Garden.

The Cartographer requires Papyrus to rebuild.  Artisan Charms from the Charm Shoppe are required to attract the Blacksmith and Mage Weaver mice, which are the only sources for Papyrus.

All mice found in Muridae Market are part of the Muridae Market Mice group.<br/>

All mice found here have a weakness to Law, Physical, and Tactical weapons.

Artisan Charms
+
{| border="1" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" style="margin:0 20px; font-size:90%; text-align:center; border-collapse:collapse;" class="wikitable sortable"
Artisan Charms have the following effects in Muridae Market:

*They are required to attract the Blacksmith and Mage Weaver mice.

*They will reduce the attraction rate of mice that do not drop building materials.

*They will prevent the attraction of Desert Nomad, Market Guard, Market Thief, and Snake Charmer mice.

Cheese Preferences and Loot
Standard Cheeses will attract almost all mice found in Muridae Market.<br/>

SB is required to attract the Desert Architect and improves the attraction rate of the Desert Nomad.<br/>

*M400 – This mouse will sometimes be available in Muridae Market when Hunters are actively working an M400 Hunting Research Assignment. It is attracted only to Fusion Fondue which will not attract any other mice. It drops a wide variety of loot.

Hunting Strategy
Hunting Strategy
Standard Cheese can be used in this location, but Hunters wishing to attract the Desert Architect will need to arm SB. Artisan Charms are required to attract Blacksmith and Mage Weaver mice..
+
This area is visited twice during the Living Garden sequence.  Initially, hunters use ordinary cheese to collect Dewthief Petals required for the cheese needed in the Lost City and Sand Dunes locations.  Later, hunters return with Duskshade Camembert obtained from those intermediate areas, in order to catch Carmine the Apothecary and transition to twisted reality.

Rebuilding Shops
+
This area also introduces the Book of Living Recipes, a total of 25 crafting recipes the Hunter must discover by combining Garden Essences and other items.
Hunters need to rebuild the various shops found in Muridae Market if they wish to make purchases.

*The Cheese Shoppe and the General Store can be rebuilt with items looted directly from mice in Muridae Market.

*The Charm Shoppe and the Trapsmith both require Molten Glass to rebuild.  Molten Glass can only be obtained through the General Store.

*The Cartographer requires Papyrus to rebuild.  Artisan Charms from the Charm Shoppe are required to attract the Blacksmith and Mage Weaver mice, which are the only sources for Papyrus.

Location-Specific Effects
+
Dewdrop Minigame
Charms
+
The Living Garden update introduced new minigames on 14 November 2012. The Dewdrop Minigame allows Hunters in the Living Garden to use Sponge Charms to gather Dewdrops. Each Dewdrop collected increases the number of hunts for which it is possible to attract the Thirsty Mouse. For the first 10 Dewdrops, 1 hunt is added. for the next 9, 2 hunts are added, and for the 20th Dewdrop, 7 hunts are added, allowing for a maximum of 35 hunts in which the hunter can attract the Thirsty Mouse, which always drop 1 Ber Essence and 1 Cynd Essence.
*The Artisan Charm allows Hunters to encounter the Blacksmith and Mage Weaver and decreases the attraction rate of mice that do not drop materials for rebuilding the shops. In addition to that Market Guard, Market Thief and Snake Charmer are not attracted on arming Artisan Charms.

Adventure Book
+
After 20 Dewdrops, the bucket is full, and the following message is displayed in the Hunter's Journal:
Hunters can Rebuild the Muridae Market by constructing all 5 Shops.
+
:I've filled up on Dewdrops. Time to pour them out and start attracting Thirsty Mice!

Library Assignments
+
Upon 'pouring', the following message is displayed:
*M400 Bait Research Assignment - This assignment may require Hunters to track down specific items from Muridae Market mice in order to complete it.
+
:I poured out my collected Dewdrops, and started attracting some thirsty mice for the next X hunts!<br/>
*M400 Hunting Research Assignment -  This assignment may require collecting 1 Piece of M400 Intel from mice in the Muridae Market and/or capture the M400.
+
:I should unequip my Sponge Charms and save them for later.

Tournaments
+
After the hunts expire, the following message is displayed:
Muridae Market mice are worth points during some Tournaments.
+
:With the ground now dry, the Thirsty mice have retreated.

Treasure Maps
+
Adventure Book
Many mice in the Muridae Market are often found on Relic Hunter Treasure Maps and Muridae Protector Treasure Maps.
+
Hunters can Obtain a Rift Detector by crafting Dol Essences and purchasing a Rift Detector from the Living Garden Cartographer.
 +

 +
Hunters can complete steps to Defeat Twisted Carmine by catching Carmine the Apothecary with Duskshade Camembert to enter the Twisted Garden.

Merchants have ordered a large supply of construction materials but it seems the local mice have managed to steal them all! They need your help hunting down the thieving rodents to find the materials required to rebuild their shops.

Rebuilding each shop will require varying amounts of Limestone Brick, Coconut Timber and Molten Glass. To make Molten Glass you'll need to first rebuild the General Store where Shards of Glass and Flameshards can be exchanged in return for Molten Glass.
+
You know, I spent so much time staring at this place, wondering what could be inside... Would it be exotic monsters, or crazed plants? But now that I'm here, all I really know is that something weird is going on!

Using Brie or Gouda Cheese works well at attracting mice that carry construction materials, however using SUPER|brie+ will attract the cunning Desert Architect Mouse. Don't let their size fool you -- Desert Architects are known to carry a large supply of building materials!
+
If you watch carefully, you can observe tiny raids from other mouse tribes coming to the garden and stealing the Garden Essences that accumulate here. You can gather your own as well by trapping the mice that reside here, and then put them to use here in the Garden!

The Charm Shoppe requires quite a few materials to rebuild, but by rebuilding it you'll be able to purchase Artisan Charms. These charms will attract a wider variety of mice that carry unique loot including an abundance of orbs!
+
If you check the shop, you'll see that you can purchase Sponge Charms for Aleth Essences and use those to collect dewdrops. Collect enough dewdrops and you can cover the ground in moisture, attracting Thirsty Mice who drop even more and better Garden Essences!

Good luck rebuilding the market, and remember: Limestone is heavy, lift with your legs!
+
While you're here, make sure to collect as many Dewthief Petals as you can - you'll need them to buy cheese to hunt with later on!

Mice with Special Requirements

Hunting Strategy

This area is visited twice during the Living Garden sequence. Initially, hunters use ordinary cheese to collect Dewthief Petals required for the cheese needed in the Lost City and Sand Dunes locations. Later, hunters return with Duskshade Camembert obtained from those intermediate areas, in order to catch Carmine the Apothecary and transition to twisted reality.

This area also introduces the Book of Living Recipes, a total of 25 crafting recipes the Hunter must discover by combining Garden Essences and other items.

Dewdrop Minigame

After 20 Dewdrops, the bucket is full, and the following message is displayed in the Hunter's Journal:

I've filled up on Dewdrops. Time to pour them out and start attracting Thirsty Mice!

Upon 'pouring', the following message is displayed:

I poured out my collected Dewdrops, and started attracting some thirsty mice for the next X hunts!
I should unequip my Sponge Charms and save them for later.

After the hunts expire, the following message is displayed:

With the ground now dry, the Thirsty mice have retreated.

Adventure Book

Hunters can Obtain a Rift Detector by crafting Dol Essences and purchasing a Rift Detector from the Living Garden Cartographer.

Hunters can complete steps to Defeat Twisted Carmine by catching Carmine the Apothecary with Duskshade Camembert to enter the Twisted Garden.
