The original purpose of the Laboratory was to research the minor mouse problem Gnawnia was having. A few less than ethical experiments soon gave rise to new breeds of mice altogether. Now overrun with the very mice it spawned, few hunters dare to step foot on its grounds. |

Mice with Special Requirements
- Relic Hunter Mouse – This mouse visits the Laboratory on an irregular basis. It does not consume cheese or charms. Hunters must have an Ancient Relic in their inventory to attract this mouse. The Ancient Relic will be taken by the Relic Hunter Mouse in exchange for a Relic Hunter Scroll Case.
- M400 – This mouse will sometimes be available in the Laboratory when Hunters are actively working an M400 Hunting Research Assignment. It is attracted only to Fusion Fondue which will not attract any other mice. It drops a wide variety of loot.
Hunting Strategy
Mice in the Laboratory are weak to all power types apart from Draconic, Parental and Rift.
The Monster Mouse is only attracted to Radioactive Blue Cheese.
The Mutated Mole Mouse is only attracted to Limelight Cheese. Hunter who wish to find the Key to the Town of Digby to travel to Town of Digby has to collect Living Shards from Mousevina von Vermin in the Mousoleum for crafting Limelight Cheese.
The Laboratory is the primary place for finding the Radioactive Blue Potions which are used to create Radioactive Blue Cheese. Radioactive Blue Cheese is required to attract certain mice in the Mousoleum and the Bristle Woods region.
Adventure Book
Hunters can begin the Slay Mousevina von Vermin adventure by:
- Getting Radioactive Blue Potions or Greater Radioactive Blue Potions
- Brewing Radioactive Blue Cheese using a potion
- Catching a Monster Mouse and getting the Tattered Mousoleum Map Piece
- Obtaining a Shadow trap from the Trapsmith.
Library Assignments
- M400 Bait Research Assignment - This assignment may require Hunters to track down specific items from Laboratory mice in order to complete it.
- M400 Hunting Research Assignment - This assignment may require capturing the M400 in the Laboratory.
Tournaments
Laboratory mice are worth points during some Tournaments.
Treasure Maps
Many mice in the Laboratory are often found on Mousoleum Treasure Maps and Relic Hunter Treasure Maps.
Hunting tips by Larry
Welcome to the remains of the Laboratory, brave MouseHunter!
Years ago, the King built this research facility to observe the unusual changes in Gnawnian mice. Unfortunately, a few of their experiments went wrong, flooding the area with even more monstrous rodents. The Laboratory contains many mysteries, including that of the scientists who disappeared from here long ago.
A few of the mice here have stolen long-forgotten vials of radioactive waste. This glowing goo is left over from experiments in creating more powerful forms of bait. It might be worth the effort to save some of these vials to see if they work the way the scientists intended...
Location-Specific Effects
Charms
- The Scientist's Charm increases both the chance of mice dropping Radioactive Blue Potions and the quantity dropped while hunting in the Laboratory.
