+ | PAGENAME is a hunting location in Varmint Valley region. | ||
+ | |||
+ | It requires the minimum Rank of Baron/Baroness and the Fort Rox Battle Summons to access. | ||
+ | |||
+ | There are 5 defensive features in this area: | ||
+ | *The Wall determines the Hunter's survivability during Night and Dawn. | ||
+ | *The Ballista improves the catch rate against Weremice and Nightmancer. | ||
+ | *The Cannon improves the catch rate against Cosmic Critter and Nightfire. | ||
+ | *The Moat reduces damage to the Wall. | ||
+ | *The Mage Tower provides various effects to hunting and progressing in this area. | ||
+ | |||
+ | There are 4 phases in this area: | ||
+ | *During Day, the Hunter can collect Meteorite Piece, repair Wall and upgrade Fort. | ||
+ | *During Night, the Hunter can collect Howlite and Bloodstone to upgrade Fort when return to Day. | ||
+ | *During Dawn, the Hunter can collect Dawn Dust to purchase Map Piece for the next area as well as to access a harder challenge in PAGENAME. | ||
+ | *During Heart of the Meteor, the Hunter can hunt for Meteoric Core Fragments, which is required to purchase a new Law weapon in the Trapsmith. | ||
+ | |||
+ | == Gameplay Mechanics == | ||
+ | === Fort === | ||
+ | The Fort represents the Hunter's various defensive features. | ||
+ | |||
+ | Each of the defensive features can be upgraded to provide greater benefits and effects. Upgrades for the individual defensive features must be made in order. Upgrades may only be made during the Day. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The effects of each upgrade combine with those of previous upgrades, except for the Wall and Moat. | ||

− | + | This is the starting phase in PAGENAME. The Hunter can return to this phase from Night and Dawn when certain conditions are met. | |
− | |- | + | |
− | | | + | The Fort can be upgraded only during Day. |
+ | |||
+ | The Wall can be repaired only during Day. Each Meteorite Piece repairs one damage to the Wall. Unless the quantity of Meteorite Pieces is insufficient to fully repair a Wall, it is not possible to partially repair a wall. | ||
+ | |||
+ | Hunting during Day does not affect the Wall health. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Mage Tower can be activated, but the Healing Enchantment and Sunsphere Enchantment have no effect during Day. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Hunter can choose to enter Night from this phase. | ||
+ | |||
+ | ==== Night ==== | ||
+ | The Hunter can enter this phase by choosing to Defend Fort from Day phase. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Night can be divided into 5 smaller parts, each with a specific length measured in hunt. The total length of the parts is 130 hunts. Failing to catch a Nightmancer Mouse will extend the length of Night by 3 hunts. An active Mage Tower with the Sunsphere Enchantment will reduce the hunts until the end of Night by 2 after every hunt. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The sub-phases, in order, are: | ||
+ | *Twilight - 35 hunt long | ||
+ | :Weremice are abundant | ||
+ | :Shadow traps are recommended | ||
+ | *Midnight - 25 hunt long | ||
+ | :Weremice are still the most abundant mice, but Cosmic Critter begin to appear | ||
+ | :Shadow traps are still recommended | ||
+ | *Pitch - 10 hunt long | ||
+ | :Weremice and Cosmic Critter are found in equal measure | ||
+ | :Arcane and Shadow traps are both effective | ||
+ | *Utter Darkness - 25 hunt long | ||

+ | *Failure to Catch without mouse pillage (FTC) = 3 damage | ||
+ | *Failure to Catch with mouse pillage (Red box FTC) = 5 damage | ||
+ | *Failure to Attract (FTA) = 5 damage | ||
+ | *Failure to catch Nightfire Mouse = 10 damage | ||
+ | *Encountering Battering Ram Mouse = 15 damage | ||
+ | |||
+ | The damage can be reduced by Moat. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Hunter can choose to Retreat to Day from this phase. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Hunter will be transfered to Day if the Wall health drops to 0. | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Hunter will be transfered to Dawn if they progress though all sub-phases with their Wall not completely broken. | ||
+ | |||
+ | ==== Dawn ==== | ||
+ | The Hunter can enter this phase by progressing through the Night. | ||
+ | |||
+ | A Damage Multiplier is in effect during this phase. Each catch of the Monster of the Meteor will increase the multiplier by an additional 100%. Damage from encountering Battering Ram Mouse is not multiplied.<br> | ||

This mysterious meteor brings with it a mysterious new breed of mice and their presence threatens the lives of the citizens of Varmint Valley. Around the crater, an encampment of hunters has surrounded these dangerous mice and are setting up a fort to hold them back! |

It requires the minimum Rank of Baron/Baroness and the Fort Rox Battle Summons to access.
There are 5 defensive features in this area:
- The Wall determines the Hunter's survivability during Night and Dawn.
- The Ballista improves the catch rate against Weremice and Nightmancer.
- The Cannon improves the catch rate against Cosmic Critter and Nightfire.
- The Moat reduces damage to the Wall.
- The Mage Tower provides various effects to hunting and progressing in this area.

Phases
Day
This is the starting phase in Fort Rox. The Hunter can return to this phase from Night and Dawn when certain conditions are met.
The Fort can be upgraded only during Day.
The Wall can be repaired only during Day. Each Meteorite Piece repairs one damage to the Wall. Unless the quantity of Meteorite Pieces is insufficient to fully repair a Wall, it is not possible to partially repair a wall.
Hunting during Day does not affect the Wall health.
The Mage Tower can be activated, but the Healing Enchantment and Sunsphere Enchantment have no effect during Day.
The Hunter can choose to enter Night from this phase.
Night
The Hunter can enter this phase by choosing to Defend Fort from Day phase.
The Night can be divided into 5 smaller parts, each with a specific length measured in hunt. The total length of the parts is 130 hunts. Failing to catch a Nightmancer Mouse will extend the length of Night by 3 hunts. An active Mage Tower with the Sunsphere Enchantment will reduce the hunts until the end of Night by 2 after every hunt.
The sub-phases, in order, are:
- Twilight - 35 hunt long
- Midnight - 25 hunt long
- Weremice are still the most abundant mice, but Cosmic Critter begin to appear
- Shadow traps are still recommended
- Pitch - 10 hunt long
- Weremice and Cosmic Critter are found in equal measure
- Arcane and Shadow traps are both effective
- Utter Darkness - 25 hunt long
- Cosmic Critter are now the most abundant mice, but Weremice may still appear
- Arcane traps are recommended
- First Light - 35 hunt long
- Cosmic Critter are abundant
- Arcane traps are recommended
During Night, the Wall can receive damage under certain circumstances:
- Failure to Catch without mouse pillage (FTC) = 3 damage
- Failure to Catch with mouse pillage (Red box FTC) = 5 damage
- Failure to Attract (FTA) = 5 damage
- Failure to catch Nightfire Mouse = 10 damage
- Encountering Battering Ram Mouse = 15 damage
The damage can be reduced by Moat.
The Hunter can choose to Retreat to Day from this phase.
The Hunter will be transfered to Day if the Wall health drops to 0.
The Hunter will be transfered to Dawn if they progress though all sub-phases with their Wall not completely broken.
Dawn
The Hunter can enter this phase by progressing through the Night.
A Damage Multiplier is in effect during this phase. Each catch of the Monster of the Meteor will increase the multiplier by an additional 100%. Damage from encountering Battering Ram Mouse is not multiplied.
The damage can be reduced by Moat, but the reduction applies after the multiplier.
Every FTA deals 5 Damage to your wall.
Catch | Anger Level | Damage Multiplier | FTC Damage | Red Box FTC Damage |
---|---|---|---|---|
0 | Irritated | 100% | 3 | 5 |
1 | Annoyed | 200% | 6 | 10 |

99+ | reaching powers of OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
The Hunter will be transfered to Day if the Wall health drops to 0.
The Hunter can choose to enter Heart of the Meteor from this phase. Doing so will consume a Fort Rox Portal Projector and add a Ruined Portal Projector to the inventory.
Heart of the Meteor
The Hunter can enter this phase from Dawn.
The Hunter's Fort defenses have no effect in this phase. Tower Mana cannot be armed while hunting in this phase.
The Heart of the Meteor's power will be depleted with each attraction, to the point where it is a guaranteed catch on the 10th attraction.
The Hunter can choose to Retreat to Dawn from this phase.

Hunting Strategy
Hunting Tips by Larry
Hello there, hunter!
Welcome to Fort Rox, recently under siege thanks to the commotion caused by the fallen meteor, the citizens here need your help to fight off the mice that have begun to overrun the area.
During the day, things are a lot calmer and the mice will listen to reason, making them vulnerable to Law traps. You will also be able to use this time to build up your resources and defenses in preparation for the attack. You will need to build the Basic Wall before you will be ready to defend your fort.
The day might feel like a walk in the park, however, don't get too comfortable. At night, things start to get a little... "hairier"...
You are gonna have to do your best to hold off the assault on Varmint Valley throughout the night. The night lasts 130 hunts. As you hunt through the night, different types of mice will begin to appear. Make sure you pay attention to the time of night and adjust your trap setup accordingly.
Mice will damage your wall if you fail to capture them and some even if you do capture them! If your wall gets destroyed, you will be forced to retreat until day, where you can rebuild and try again.
Survive the night and make it to dawn where the toughest mice lie in wait!
