The terrain that surrounds the Lagoon is extremely unsteady, comprised of jagged rocks and slick moss. High up in the trees that surround the Lagoon are the nests of Harpy mice who act as a plague to all hunters, stealing their cheese, gold and crippling their courage. Some mice here are not attracted to conventional bait. It is highly recommended that a hunter use Gnarled cheese when hunting at the Lagoon.

The Laboratory is a location in the Burroughs region requiring a minimum rank of Master and the Burroughs Laboratory Map Piece to enter. It is also the primary location in which Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions are gathered for use in the Mousoleum and Catacombs. Mice in this location may steal points, gold, or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.
Mice in the Lagoon can steal gold, points, and cheese if not caught.
Mice in the Lagoon are primarily weak to Tactical, Hydro, and, to a lesser degree, Shadow weapons. Other power types may have some effectiveness, but are not likely to perform well.

The majority of the mice found in the Lagoon are part of the Forest Guild.
The Hydra and Water Nymph mice are part of the Aquatic Order and the Black Widow Mouse is part of the Indigenous Mice group.
All mice in the Lagoon are weak to Hydro and Tactical weapons. With the exception of the Hydra and Water Nymph mice, the mice in the Lagoon are also weak to Shadow weapons.
The table below lists the most effective power type for each mouse, though other power types may be used with some success.

+
Hunters have several Trap Setup Options for the Laboratory. Hunters looking for Monster mice are advised to use the Digby DrillBot and bait it with Radioactive Blue cheese. Without using Radioactive Blue cheese, hunters will never encounter Monsters here. This location is also popular because of the Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions that most mice drop here. They are, without a doubt, indispensable commodities, especially for those who wish to hunt in either the Mousoleum or in the Bristle Woods region. Because most of the mice in the Laboratory are easily attracted even by the cheapest kinds of cheese, even hunters using Cheddar cheese should have moderate hunting success while also being able to collect Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions and, to a lesser extent, Stale Cheese.

The mice found in the Lagoon are primarily attracted to Gnarled Cheese[ and Wicked Gnarly Cheese. Wicked Gnarly Cheese is required to attract the Silth Mouse.

The waters of the Lagoon look dangerous! I hope you can swim!

You will find yourself having trouble attracting mice to your trap here, unless you use Gnarled Cheese. If you need more Gnarled cheese, head back to the Great Gnarled Tree to collect potions from the mice there. Or, if you want to attract the really valuable mice here, you might want to make some Wicked Gnarly Cheese. MouseHunters pursuing this cheese might benefit from consulting a certain Curious Chemist at the Great Gnarled Tree about ingredients.
+
Welcome to the remains of the Laboratory, brave MouseHunter!
+

+
Years ago the King built this laboratory to research the unusual changes in Gnawnian mice. Unfortunately, a few of their experiments went wrong, flooding the area with even more monstrous rodents. The laboratory contains many mysteries, including that of the scientists who disappeared from here long ago. . .
+

+
A Dwarf mouse has been reported to be carrying the key to a secret mobile research facility. Hunt this Dwarf and acquire the key to a new hunting ground, as well as some new experimental traps!
+

+
A few of the mice here have also stolen vials of radioactive waste. This glowing goo is left over from experiments in creating more powerful forms of bait. It might be worth the effort to save some of these vials to see if they work the way the scientists intended. . .

Dwelling in the water is the fearsome Hydra mouse. The Hydra originates from the Ocean to the East, where it is known for being the cause of many shipwrecks. For this reason, the Hydra is known for dropping many nautical items. If you have your sea legs, try hunting the Hydra. You may just discover the mysteries of the ocean in the process.

The original purpose of the Laboratory was to research the minor mouse problem Gnawnia was having. A few less than ethical experiments soon gave rise to new breeds of mice altogether. Now overrun with the very mice it spawned, few hunters dare to step foot on its grounds.

Overview

The Laboratory is a location in the Burroughs region requiring a minimum rank of Master and the Burroughs Laboratory Map Piece to enter. It is also the primary location in which Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions are gathered for use in the Mousoleum and Catacombs. Mice in this location may steal points, gold, or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.

Laboratory Mice

Cheese Preference and Loot

Gnarled Cheese is required to attract the majority of the mice found in the Lagoon.
Wicked Gnarly Cheese has the same attraction as Gnarled Cheese, but is required to attract the Silth Mouse
Standard Cheese and SUPER|brie+ attract very few mice in the Lagoon.

Mice with Special Requirements

Hunting Strategy

Adventure Book

Hunters can Find a Way Out of the Laboratory by catching a Dwarf Mouse in the Laboratory to obtain the Key to the Town of Digby.

Hunters can begin the Survive the Mousoleum adventure by getting Radioactive Blue Cheese or Moon Cheese.

Hunting tips by Larry

Welcome to the remains of the Laboratory, brave MouseHunter!

Years ago the King built this laboratory to research the unusual changes in Gnawnian mice. Unfortunately, a few of their experiments went wrong, flooding the area with even more monstrous rodents. The laboratory contains many mysteries, including that of the scientists who disappeared from here long ago. . .

A Dwarf mouse has been reported to be carrying the key to a secret mobile research facility. Hunt this Dwarf and acquire the key to a new hunting ground, as well as some new experimental traps!

A few of the mice here have also stolen vials of radioactive waste. This glowing goo is left over from experiments in creating more powerful forms of bait. It might be worth the effort to save some of these vials to see if they work the way the scientists intended. . .
