Facebook is a social networking website and the original hosting platform of MouseHunt.
When making a Donation from within Facebook, it is necessary to own enough Facebook Credits.
When playing MouseHunt directly in Facebook (but not on the mousehuntgame.com site), there are various opportunities to share status such that friends reading the status can claim a Charm. This includes:
- Attraction
- learning a new Recipe
- Luck
- catching a new mouse breed for the first time
- completing a Library Assignment
- claiming a Treasure Chest
- Power
- gaining a Crown for 10, 100, or 500 catches of a mouse
- Winter
- completing a Toy during the Great Winter Hunt 2012
Additionally, there have been a few items that are only available by Liking the Facebook app page:
The app page has also included spoilers and hints about upcoming events, often providing a link for claiming a free item from Larry. Over time, items to be claimed from following a link has included:
