Overview

The Nerg Plains is a location in the Tribal Isles region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Ocean Navigation Kit to enter.
Mice in this location may steal points, gold, or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.

Hunters must hunt with Standard Cheese or SUPER|brie+ in order to obtain Savoury Vegetables which are required for crafting Gumbo Cheese.
Gumbo Cheese is required to attract the mice that drop Yellow Pepper Seeds that are necessary for crafting the cheeses required to attract mice in the Jungle of Dread and Dracano.

Ocean Navigation Kit

The Ocean Navigation Kit grants hunters access to the Tribal Isles region. It can be crafted using the following formula:

Formula: Ocean Navigation Kit
Item Qty Cost (Each) Source

Nerg Plains Mice

The mice found in the Nerg Plains are weak to Tactical weapons. The use of other Power Types should be avoided in this location.

Hunters will need to hunt with Gumbo Cheese in order to attract the mice that drop Yellow Pepper Seeds. Pepper Seeds are necessary for crafting the cheeses required in the Jungle of Dread and Dracano.

Cheese Preference and Loot

Standard Cheese attracts all mice in the Nerg Plains, except the Nerg Chieftain, Defender, Slayer, and Black Widow mice.
Gouda Cheese has the best attraction rate of the Standard Cheeses and it will not attract the Chameleon Mouse.
SUPER|brie+ is required to attract the Black Widow Mouse and attracts all other mice in the Nerg Plains, except the Nerg Chieftain, Defender, Slayer, and Chameleon mice.
Gumbo Cheese attracts the Nerg Chieftain, Defender, and Slayer mice.

Hunting tips by Larry

Oh, it's you! I can barely see you over the tall grass! The terrain here makes it quite easy to hide, something the mice of the Nerg Tribe take full advantage of. It's not uncommon for the Nerg to spring an ambush and pillage your supplies of cheese.

Members of the Nerg Tribe mostly keep to themselves, but are very territorial. They attack enemy tribes or hunters the moment they step foot on their corner of the island. To be successful hunting here you will need either Gouda or SUPER|brie+ as bait, along with a strong Tactical weapon.

It seems the Nerg enjoy farming. They often carry batches of unique Savoury Vegetables, which they combine with Curds and Whey over heat to make a gooey mess called Gumbo Cheese. I do not recommend eating any yourself, as most humans have a hard time smelling it, let alone keeping it down. The Nerg leaders are the most territorial of all, so don't equip your Gumbo Cheese lightly!

Now MouseHunter, bait your trap, lay low in the tall grass and keep your nose keen for the scent of Savoury Vegetables!

Shops

There are no shops available in the Nerg Plains. Shops for the Tribal Isles region can be found in Cape Clawed.

History and Trivia

The names of three locations in the Tribal Isles are roughly the tribes' colours backwards. Nerg Plains takes its name after the colour 'green', and the Nerg tribe mice wear green clothes.
