| This small island was once attached to the mainland before a mighty storm washed away a massive piece of land. Members of the three tribes were then trapped where they were forced to work together to build a means of travel back to the mainland. Cape Clawed now acts as a meeting place where the elders of the tribes discuss diplomatic matters. | |
Overview
Cape Clawed is a location in the Tribal Isles region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Ocean Navigation Kit to enter.
Attracting and capturing many of the Cape Clawed mice will require hunting with specific cheese and arming weapons with the correct Power Type.
Mice do not steal gold, cheese, or points in Cape Clawed.
Mice with Trap Loot
Hunters should track down the following mice in order to find items needed for crafting new weapons. These mice will only be attracted with crafted cheese.
- Aged Mouse - Drops Rhino Horn required to craft the RhinoBot, a Physical weapon.
- Requires Crunchy Cheese
- Elder Mouse - Drops the Ancient Spear required to craft the Ancient Spear Gun, a Hydro weapon.
- Requires Shell Cheese
- Grandfather Mouse - Drops the Thorned Vine required to craft the Thorned Venus Mouse Trap, a Tactical weapon.
- Requires Gumbo Cheese
The Ocean Navigation Kit grants hunters access to the Tribal Isles region. It can be crafted using the following formula:

Cape Clawed Mice
The mice found in Cape Clawed are from a variety of mice groups. Attracting and capturing many of these mice will require hunting with specific cheese and arming weapons with the correct Power Type.
Cheese Preference and Loot
Standard Cheese attracts all mice in Cape Clawed, except the Aged, Elder, Grandfather, and Nibbler mice.
SUPER|brie+ is required to attract the Nibbler Mouse and attracts all other mice in Cape Clawed, except the Aged, Elder, and Grandfather mice.
Crunchy Cheese attracts mice from The Derr Tribe mice and the Sylvan Mouse. Physical weapons are recommended when hunting with this cheese.
Gumbo Cheese attracts mice from The Nerg Tribe mice and the Chameleon Mouse. Tactical weapons are recommended when hunting with this cheese.
Shell Cheese attracts mice from The Elub Tribe mice and the Pinchy Mouse. Hydro weapons are recommended when hunting with this cheese.
Mice with Special Requirements
- Relic Hunter Mouse – This mouse visits the Cape Clawed on an irregular basis. It does not consume cheese or charms. Hunters must have an Ancient Relic in their inventory to attract this mouse. The Ancient Relic will be taken by the Relic Hunter Mouse in exchange for a Relic Hunter Scroll Case.
- M400 – This mouse will sometimes be available in Cape Clawed when Hunters are actively working an M400 Hunting Research Assignment. It is attracted only to Fusion Fondue which will not attract any other mice. It drops a wide variety of loot.

Hunting Strategy
Attracting and capturing many of the Cape Clawed mice will require hunting with specific cheese and arming weapons with the correct Power Type.
Hunters should track down the mice shown below in order to find items needed for crafting new weapons. Blueprints for these new weapons can be purchased in the Cape Clawed General Store.
Most mice in Cape Clawed can be caught with any Physical, Tactical or Hydro weapons but many have a primary weakness. However, Aged Mouse, Elder Mouse and Grandfather Mouse can only be caught with a weapon of correct power type. These mice will only be attracted with crafted cheese and each drops a Crafting Item for upgrading weapons.

Although Seashells, Savoury Vegetables and Delicious Stones are dropped as loot by mice in Cape Clawed, they are much more readily available in Elub Shore, Nerg Plains and Derr Dunes respectively. Hunters seeking to craft Shell Cheese, Gumbo Cheese or Crunchy Cheese to attract Elder Mouse, Aged Mouse or Grandfather Mouse should hunt in the respective tribe locations.

Congratulations on crossing the Rodentia Ocean, MouseHunter!
The Tribal Isles region is home to three tribes which have a long history of conflict. The eldest mice of each tribe now meet here in an effort to restore peace to the region.
Visit the Cheese Shoppe here in Cape Clawed and I am sure Gouda will catch your attention. Its sharp flavor has long been a favorite of the mice indigenous to the Tribal Isles, only surpassed by SUPER|brie+.
Cape Clawed also has a Trapsmith and a General Store. In addition to standard cheese-making supplies like Salt, Curds and Whey, the General Store here also carries Coconut Milk, which is a vital ingredient in some local flavors of cheese. I hope you came with a good stash of gold because the General Store here also carries some mighty expensive sets of blueprints.
Phew, that was quite a lot of information if I do say so myself... and I do! But I haven't even mentioned what hunting there is to be done here in Cape Clawed.
The majority of mice here are rather weak and offer little reward for their capture. Cape Clawed is, however, a meeting spot for the tribal elders. Each of the elder mice here are attracted to a very specific cheese made from secret ingredients. To capture the elder mice, you will have to visit their respective villages to the East and hunt down the secret ingredients to their favorite cheeses.
Well, I suppose these are all the tips I have for you, MouseHunter. There is much to do here in the Tribal Isles, so take your time, plan your moves, and try to ignore the menacing roar coming from that volcano. . .
