Power Type

The Power Type of a trap set-up is determined by the weapon chosen by the Hunter. A weapon's power type determines its overall effectiveness when targeting Mice. Mice have weaknesses to specific power types, so Hunters must match the weapon with their mouse target for maximum effect.

A weapon's Power Type may be altered by arming Power Type Charms. The change will last only as long as the charms remain armed.

There are currently 10 different power types:

Rift

Rift weapons were designed to catch Rift Walkers who are particularly weak to this power type. Additionally, Indigenous Mice and Event Mice have a weakness to Rift weapons. Currently, there are three Rift trap available for use; any of the three serves as part of the Riftwalker Set and gains additional bonuses when combined with any of the Rift Bases or Rift Charms.

Shadow

"Shadow is a magical type of damage that is effective against ghostly breeds of mice."

Shadow weapons are generally low powered, especially when compared against other weapons of similar requirements. Thus. even though many mouse groups have a certain degree of weakness to Shadow weapons, they are best used against The Shadow Clan, The Dreaded Horde, Balack's Banished, and the mice in the Sand Dunes and Sand Crypts.

Shadow Charms can be used to convert any other power type trap into the Shadow type.

Tactical

Tactical weapons are of average power as compared to other weapons of similar requirements. Indigenous Mice, Digby Dirt Dwellers and the Aquatic Order have a degree of weakness to tactical weapons, but they work best against the Forest Guild, the Followers of Furoma and The Nerg Tribe.
