− | While visiting | + | ====Low Altitude Island==== |
+ | By default, all [[Hunter]]s start on a '''Low Altitude Island''' with a maximum of 75 hunts.
+ | While visiting a '''Low Altitude Island''', your objective is to explore the island, collect loot and defeat a '''Sky Warden''' if one is present. As you explore the island you'll activate different effects and loot caches that determine what items mice drop, which mice you encounter, and even how quickly you explore the island.
Effects and Loot Caches are activated in order as selected on the '''Sky Map'''. The same 4 Squares from the '''Sky Map''' is now enlarged on the HUD. Each square is equivalent to 10 hunts while on an Island. Clearing a square with a buff will activate its effect. Clearing a square with no buff doesn't affect progress. | Effects and Loot Caches are activated in order as selected on the '''Sky Map'''. Each successful hunt will progress your exploration while each unsuccessful hunt will allow the hoards of mice to unravel some of your progress. This is reflected in the progress bar across the 4 squares with your position on the left and the enemy's on the right. Once the bars meet you'll potentially encounter a '''Sky Warden''' in a tug-of-war standoff! Bryan Lye makes use of 8 different Power Types, nearly every available one in the game, namely:
Mice here are able to pillage Standard Cheese, Points and Gold if one fails to capture them.
Hunters first collect Cloud Curd to purchase Cloud Cheesecake while at the Launch Pad. All 8 Power Types are effective here. Subsequently, Hunters fly towards specific Power Type Islands to hunt mice using their Sky Map. There are 2 versions of each Island, Low Altitude and High Altitude. Hunters must first clear a minimum of 4 Low Altitude Islands and defeat 4 different Wardens to unlock a single High Altitude Island. While hunting on the islands, mice will drop loot used to upgrade your Skyfarer's Oculus, customise your Dirigible and obtain new Traps.

The HUD tracks the Following Items:
- Hunter's inventory of Cloud Curd
- Hunter's inventory of Cloud Cheesecake

While on Islands
- The HUD tracks the progress while on both Low Altitude and High Altitude Islands. It is represented by a progress bar made up smaller boxes.
Trap Library
Hunters will be able to save specific setups for every Island and the Launchpad. This feature will automatically change a Hunter's trap setup to the saved one for the corresponding Island or Launch Pad upon hitting the respective sub-location. Components that can be saved include:
If a Hunter does not have any more of the saved Cheese or Charm remaining in their inventory, it will be highlighted with a red box. All other components will still be changed. If a hunter refunds a saved Weapon or Base, that component will also be highlighted in red while the other available ones will be changed.

Sky Map
Opening the Sky Map on the Launch Pad allows a hunter to choose between 8 unique, randomised islands to visit. There is one island for each of the 8 Power Types and the unique checkerboard interface shows what kind of loot you'll find on each of the islands. On the same board are all the buffs available to the Hunter via upgrades at the Workshop
Your main objective when selecting and visiting an island is to defeat the four Sky Wardens. Once one is defeated it's removed from the Sky Map and once all four are defeated your Dirigible will be able to ascend to the more lucrative High Altitude Islands.
The Sky Map is split into 2 orientations:
- Horisontally from the left are the Arcane, Forgotten, Hydro, Shadow Islands.
- Vertically from the bottom are the Draconic, Law, Physical, Tactical.
Hunters are encouraged to select which Islands they would like to visit based on the loot and buffs available on said Island. When selecting an Island, all loot and buffs highlighted by the interface on the specific horisontal row or vertical column associated with the Power Type can be found on the Island]]. Be sure to select an Island with a Warden Shrine available. They are depicted by the Hexagonal runes. Every Warden Shrine will always be available on 2 different Islands, one horisontal, one vertical. Hunters are advised to pick the one where they have got a better trap set up for. However, if simply after loot, Hunters may opt to pick an island with the most loot buffs rather than a [Warden Shrine
Pay attention to the order of the loot and buff as it appears in the same order while hunting on an Island. Horisontal from left to right and Vertical from bottom to top. IE the buff nearer to the Power Type icon on the Sky Map will always appear first on the Island.
Hunters can use [[]] to reroll their 'Sky Map to obtain a more favourable loot and buff layout that suits their needs.

While on Islands
Low Altitude Island
By default, all Hunters start on a Low Altitude Island with a maximum of 75 hunts. While visiting a Low Altitude Island, your objective is to explore the island, collect loot and defeat a Sky Warden if one is present. As you explore the island you'll activate different effects and loot caches that determine what items mice drop, which mice you encounter, and even how quickly you explore the island.
Effects and Loot Caches are activated in order as selected on the Sky Map. The same 4 Squares from the Sky Map is now enlarged on the HUD. Each square is equivalent to 10 hunts while on an Island. Clearing a square with a buff will activate its effect. Clearing a square with no buff doesn't affect progress.
Each successful hunt will progress your exploration while each unsuccessful hunt will allow the hoards of mice to unravel some of your progress. This is reflected in the progress bar across the 4 squares with your position on the left and the enemy's on the right. Once the bars meet you'll potentially encounter a Sky Warden in a tug-of-war standoff! It takes a maximum of 40 hunts to unlock a Sky Warden.
High Altitude Island
After clearing all 4 Sky Wardens on Low Altitude Islands, Hunters will be able to access a High Altitude Island...............
Mouse Locator
- All 8 Power Types are effective on Launch Pad Group, Sky Warden Group and Sky Pirate Group.
- Sky Warden Group and Sky Pirate Group can be found on any Island as long as the respective buff is available.

Hunting tips by Larry
Ah, Queso Geyser! The heart of the whole queso operation. A natural fount of delicious, molten queso that bubbles and gurgles its way from the unknown depths of Gnawnia's core to the surface. The most prevalent geologists have determined this to be biggest and most active geyser currently known within the entire Kingdom!
Its constant activity causes it to be a source of extreme heat as well as delicious cheese. Due to this, the strongest family of mice have taken roost here. Very powerful dragons have now made this their home, hoarding valuables and basking in the molten queso showers.
These Draconic mice are attracted to the natural eruptions that periodically occur and will roost nearby until one happens. Luckily, those clever geologists have found that you can create an all-natural barrier using cork and other materials found nearby to plug up the geyser and cause artificial eruptions allowing one to purposefully attract the geyser-dwelling dragons!
You will need to hunt the more timid mice in the area that come out when the geyser is least active. Catching them will award you with valuable Cork Bark that you can use to craft a cork and plug up the geyser, starting a build-up of pressure.
Once corked, the geyser will start to rumble and build pressure, scaring away the timid mice and bringing about the ones who thrive in and around the newly created high-pressure environment. As these mice are caught, their explosive energy will be captured and cause the pressure contained inside the geyser to build until it inevitably explodes!
During the cheesy eruption, the most powerful dragons of the area come out to stake claim to the delicious queso and to all the shiny and valuable materials that shake lose. If you can capture any of these mice, they will drop some of their impressive loot into the Dragon Nest.
When the eruption calms and these dragons leave, you will be able to safely loot the nest and see what valuable treasures they have left behind!
Good luck hunters, may you strike it rich!
